Ha! I never watch NBA, but am on a business trip in Atlanta, turned the tv on and the LA Denver game popped up. Saw CB and watched as he totally swatted LeBron shot away. It was so cool I came to share and saw your post. Woohoo for Jayhawks in the NBA!

No disrespect to the Rbacks, every team who makes it past the first game has proven worthy, but only one of these teams lost 14 games, was not in ranked in the AP poll, is listed as a 5 pt underdog, and has no players with FF experience, and it aināt us.
Anything can happen, and it should be a grinder, but I like our chances.

Was surprised to see Yes score a few quick 3s early on. Was hoping he would go off for 20 like sometimes a bench player has done against us before. Sure would have been nice to JW carry the load, have a new surprise weapon right before the dance(and help offset his often poor D). Hey a guy can dream, canāt he?
Couldnāt watch the game live, just finished watching the recording. Best thing about this game was I could skip thru the commercialsā¦ and the last 20 minutes.

- nothing really on the line for us - we won the toughest league in Div1 and almost assuredly still have the overall #1 seed
- JW is one of the best players in the league
Was it ugly? Oh hell yes. Do I feel any differently about our chances in the Dance compared to before the game? Not one bitā¦ IF everyone is healthy come game time.
If key pieces are not healthy, pretty hard for any team to win. Possibly the most important uncontrollable variable for tournament success.
We played the toughest schedule in Div1 and chalked up by far the most quad 1 wins. Am I down on this team after one meaningless loss? Hell no. Just crossing my fingers for healthy players for the next few weeks.

Yes! Besides watching JWs opening salvo of 3s rocket thru the basket and his overall dominance of the game, watching Udeh make a few plays, some FTs, and give some big minutes was a definite highlight for me.
When Kev goes out, we can look really short out there - getting shots blocked and passes deflected by the tall trees. Itās something that worries me a bit in the Dance (our 2 seed getting spanked by Stanford tall trees in the tourney years back still bugs me).
But with our tallest (6ā 11ā) player out there I feel better against taller teams. And BS has expressed how he misses having a reliable big. I know heās inexperienced and makes mistakes, but also some flashes of real potential. Plus thereās a joyous look he has when he does well that makes me smile. Iām hoping for some big minutes from him in the weeks to come. And come next yearā¦
