Wish I could be on here regularly! Hopefully be chatting with you all when we take on those awful human beings from that awful city in that awful state on Friday! Rock Chalk and go Royals!
We're getting hits, we just gotta string enough together to score runs. Not calling it quits yet
Escy with two incredible bare-handers in back to back nights!
My pops got his tickets for the games against Team Canada today. Sooooooooo jealous.
@dylans I would have bet good money against someone who said the Twins were going to be in first place in June
Really want to somehow steal a W tonight. Minnesota came back from a four to nothing deficit in Boston today.
No real point in taking a guy out after a bases clearing homer, give him a shot to save the inning and save an arm. Should be finished now after getting out of this one.
Brandon Moss just has our damn number
How about that catch by Gordo. Hope that sets the tone for tonight and the series.
I agree with you, had the only opportunity for a play at the plate after the catch
Who would have thought, the Minnesota twins in first place heading into June!
Damn! Oh well, a win would have only obscured the fact that we're still in a little funk right now.
Come onnnnnn
Salvy loves them low and away
Love going to the museum when I'm home, I rarely don't make it. One of my favorite stories from that era of baseball is about one of the great managers, the New York Giants' John McGraw. When he passed away, his wife went through his effects and found in a stack of papers all of the black ballplayers he had gone to see play and whom he wished he could have signed. We do not know of some of the greatest ballplayers to ever play the game. What a shame that is!
Yeah I almost always love the throwbacks, really like these today. What's your opinion? My father was telling me for the Negro League game we had against the Yankees that we asked the Bronx Bombers to wear the throwbacks for the New York Black Yankees and then donate the uniforms to the museum and they refused to do so! How ridiculous is that? I needed no more excuses to hate the Evil Empire but that gave me another.
@Crimsonorblue22 I think I drove Brooks away!
@brooksmd Can you listen to Denny?
Ohhh boyyyy maybe as nervous as I've been yet this season
Is Wade gonna get out of this??
@Crimsonorblue22 I'll take that as a birthday present!
I am pumped for the return of Rios! We have really been struggling at the plate these last couple of weeks, Lorenzo being the one suffering the worst. As fun as it was having Orlando hit those ridiculous amount of triples, overall, him and Dyson have been poor offensive replacements for Rios. But remember that Alex was beamed in the hand and so it may take him awhile to get comfortable. Would like to see Ventura come out and put up a gritty performance, don't need a perfect one, just six or seven innings of tough pitching.
I still don't respect lebron for leaving his hometown for a couple of rings. It's as if he sold his soul for the devil. ONE ring in Cleveland would have meant more to that city and his legacy than four in Miami with that loaded roster. I gained a shred of respect for him going back home but am limited in actually rooting for him when remembering how idiotically he left Cleveland in the first place. So yeah, I want Lebron to lose. And I want Cleveland to lose so that when I think it's a struggle to be a Kansas City fan I can always think of Cleveland. At least I'm not a Cleveland fan. Thank you Lord.
I was like Brooks, I drove home from Washington state once with my father to the KC area. I hadn't been back to Kansas in almost a couple of years and when I reached Kanorado, which any experienced I-70 driver will recognize as the first or final town in Kansas--depending on direction of travel--I felt re-energized and it seemed as if the stars were brighter and the air cleaner. Once I make it back to the Kansas prairie I'll never leave it again. It gets in your blood.
@brooksmd I thought they said those would be done a couple weeks after the left field bleachers. I'll have to look it up
@Crimsonorblue22 I think the Cubs are done with the renovations so Wrigley should be looking good for your son and gf
We need to get these bats going!
@Crimsonorblue22 That pup is the cutest thing I've seen in weeks
I haven't seen some Royals baseball in about a week so lets play today! No rain please
Damn, well lets give us the win tonight and call it a sweep!
Yep tuned in just in time to see that tough hop. Great job getting the out though after that and how huge was that escape now??
Would like to see Volquez chew up some innings here
If my memory serves me correctly it is five full innings.
How bad is it? Any chance they can play after a delay?
These guys know how to play the game
- A-Paschal Chukwu
- Nothing but sand out here
- Days of Heaven
- B-Yes, We WILL Win Two!
I'll be back tomorrow to watch the good guys beat up on those east coast wanna be's!
Important we get the lead early!
Does that storm have a chance to miss the K?
Duffy comes back out to the mound tonight, hope he can find some control of his pitches and break this little slump.
Yep, Minnesota helped us out tonight
@Crimsonorblue22 Ha! At least bring back a little of that fire!
If some things didn't bounce our way we could very easily be in a five game skid right now
At least Ventura toughened out 7 and 2/3rd innings
That was a quick game
Well, didn't get to see much of the game tonight, doesn't look as if I missed much.
Ouch what's going on with Ventura?? Just tuned in
Goodnight all! Another fun game! Hopefully see you here tomorrow!
@globaljaybird Yep this could be his last year in a Royals uni. Better not be, he deserves to have his number out in left field at the K for eternity. He is to me, one of the most underrated assets and athletes on a ball team that I can recall.
I'm only intuitive with Alex because of my profuse hero worship of him
Ha! First time I ever did that!
