What the hell are you talking about Chris Weber
one stop.
lol @DanR
thats the play they drew up? Squeaky can still piss em away with the best of them.
a bucket and a stop. game over.
good foul.
hmm.. the wrong person fouled the right guy.
Keep fouling Washington.
Mawien is useless.
You guys think the refs will job Syracuse against Duke?
Sneed needs to guide this home.
WOW DIARRA = HAIR JORDAN!
lets see it PJ. Brick!
the announcers want Kentucky to win too.
@wisox sure, they'll be down to 2 after tomorrow.
good foul. this kid couldnt hit anything from line.
quick the records skipping
@Crimsonorblue22 all that would be left of him would be a bowtie and a little turf of white hair.
oh god wide open airball
Mawien, was that a basketball shot? :shudder:
Sneed has been $$$$$
@dylans yup, they're gonna win by 20. this one''s a blowout! ;)
@Blown Diallo reminds me of Wiggins.
Washington and Diallo seem like little arrogant sh-ts to me. Gabriel seems like a obnoxious pretty-boy, not sure. SGA is good, Knox is good.
Wade was getting torched in the first half. Answer is, yes, K State is better without injured Wade.
@kjayhawks so you're talking about the K State cheerleaders then
Sloppy sloppy freshmen!
How funny, the guy coaching against Squeaky got the T for being outside the coaches box.
Didn't realize Carroll shot .444 from 3 last year and .335 this year.
Peace out Jeffrey Carroll. It was fun watching you compete against KU for 4 years.
@Buster-1926 just tuned in. Dwight looks like he's moving well
We can roll out whatever facts we want to suit whatever argument we want, right? This time scope, that time scope, this accolade, that accolade, this win that win, this loss that loss, this player that player, this recruit that recruit, this nba future, that nba future.
In the end, its all just cannon fodder for our feelings isnt it?
And if you fancy yourself a moderate guy (I've historically liked to think I'm a moderate guy, it seems like you do too @DCHawker), you like to think that the facts can define our emotions.
And you're absolutely right. We can define reality and control our emotions, but most people do not choose to do this. Most people believe that emotions are something that have their way with us, and yet are part of our essential nature, and so we have to respect our emotions, and listen to our emotions, be "in touch" with them.
And so, I encourage you to ride this wave of emotional irrationality and help me birth into the world the idea that the ACC Is Overrated and let it grow grow grow!
Because if that's how recruits feel, and that's how fans of basketball feel, then that's how ignorant talking heads feel, then that's how corporate America feels, and thats how talent runs away from the ACC, and that's how the Big 12 profits.
OVERRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAATED...... OVERRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAATED......
Was thinking the same thing, but I think the point was since that one in 1988 in the last 29 years.
@DCHawker if the world were still based upon facts, you might have a point.
But in this new reality, feelings are all that matter. And I sure as heck feel that the ACC is overrated!
Ok, back to reality..
@DCHawker as @jaybate-1-0 aptly noted, there are 2 ACCs, UNC and Duke, and the rest of the conference.. Since 2000, Duke and UNC have accounted for 6 of the national titles and 1 of the runner ups.
So the rest of the conference, 1 title, 1 runner up, which was MD in 2002 (winner) and Georgia Tech runner up in 2004.
That means that since 2005, excluding Duke and UNC, nada in both departments for the conference.
And this is conference that added Syracuse, Pitt, Notre Dame and Louisville in 2013-2014.
Every year the last 3 years, Duke has had 2 kids on the McDonalds All American roster.. 2017, 2016, 2015.
Duke = artificially inflated.
Rest of conference = overrated.
@DCHawker well I guess when constructing a narrative, this is the point where I belittle your attempt to identify an objective reality, possibly take a personal attack which may or may not be true, but sounds plausible, and then repeat my narrative...
CROOKED @DCHawker, hawking from DC, of course he thinks the ACC is great! DRAIN THE SWAMP! The ACC is as overrated AS IT GETS!
@wissox rumor had it his form was looking a little better a couple weeks ago. It was completely broken several months ago. I would be surprised to see him play this year. I don't think they need a PG who is unsure of himself in the mix for the playoffs, and to the extent that his issues are in his head, they don't need him getting rolled out when he isn't 100% fixed just to get punked in the public eye and broken worse. They will take the summer to make sure his head is on straight, I think.
@Buster-1926 got in that time. Thanks!
@Kcmatt7 suns could work. Would be great if they could come up with a package to get a good big as well, because they really need one. Chriss is a headcase, Bender is meh, Len is meh, Chandler is ancient. Maybe they could deal Elfrid Payton, Brandon Knight and any of their young meh bigs guys for someone with more upside.
Error establishing database connection :)
Curry was 4% higher on 3's and 2's, on 4 less attempts per game, though off ball, with 6 less assists per game, and 2.4 less turnovers per game, in a much weaker conference.
These stats are more flattering to Young than I give him credit for.
@JayHawkFanToo A tale of two freshman years:
Someone posted it in another thread. HUGE!
@Statmachine they ALL poison
Bump
No time to be superstitious guys. We got some tigers to hang up by their toes, some Orange men to paint red, some Mountaineers to climb over, and some aggies to teach horticulture.
Not sure about this source. Half gossip, half ad.
@wrwlumpy thanks for all the great preview threads so far this year. Keep up the great work!
@jayballer73 which site is it? I'd like to check it out too.
