@KULA I think I read that the new signees for next year will also be eligible to play. That's an interesting carrot to dangle in front of a prospective signee.

@icthawkfan316 I remember Bill also being supportive of Andrew when he originally said he was going to spend the summer playing with the Canadian team. But there was no covering up his joy when Andrew decided to show up in Lawrence for the summer. I suspect this might be the same way.
@Crimsonorblue22 Do you really think Embiid pretended to still be hurt to avoid playing in NCAA games? I don't believe that at all. If you watched his face during the game, he looked miserable that he wasn't playing against Stanford. I don't think he's that two-faced and selfish. That doesn't seem to me to be in his character.

@JayHawkFanToo The last ESPN3 game was on Full Court, believe it or not. Earlier ones were blacked out. I'm hoping they will carry it again. If not I'll be tying justin.tv.
I haven't seen anything yet about the team, except that Bzdelik is their coach. Isn't he the guy that came to Colo from Air Force and played the old, slow Princeton backdoor offense? I noticed that in some of their recent games (they are undefeated so far) they scored 90 points. Maybe he has changed their style of play? I can't see them getting that many points otherwise.

Yes, it's on now. Every Wednesday unless the scheduling of a game conflicts and then it's usually the next day. I think they start with the first non-con game. I get it on 580 in Topeka. Sometimes it's on 690. Depends on what else is scheduled for that night. All the stations in the Jayhawk Network carry it.

I'm sure I read that Naadir has to miss the first non-con game. Mason will start the exhibition game but Naadir will play some. He won't be able to play at all in the non-con game.
She also commented that they had relatives in Memphis. And that the coach will take care of her little boy. I'm more worried about Memphis than Illinois.

I'm always very nervous about announcements on ESPN. They rarely work out for us.
And it will be nice to have some weight and muscle under the basket again. It seems like a long time since we had someone who could hold position and not get pushed under the basket.
Kevin Young seemed to intimidate Smart by whacking him as he was bulling his way to the basket. All of a sudden he was limping around and rolling on the floor whenever he was faced with a confrontation. If we're lucky he has't outgrown all of that.
That TCU game was probably burned onto his retinas and he didn't need a tape to see it again.
