Until this team can prove they can go on the road consistently and win games against decent opponents I'm skiptical, or skeptical. Tired of being court rushed. UCF was decent only because of last years result but we were quite a bit better obviously this year. We got waxed twice on the road last year, like just mauled. Then conference tourney we scored 52 against Cincy and lost by 20.

I sometimes go back and forth in my mind about the GOAT. Being a Chicagoan MJ obviously is either it or Wilt. I don't mind anyone calling MJ the GOAT but I still think Wilt is. The unbreakable records he holds, the stories of never fouling out, averaging over 50 points in a season, averaging more than 48 minutes per game, playing all but 5 minutes of a season (hey remember when LBJ played all but 5 minutes of a HALF?). Just goes on and on.
MJ? Well I majored in geography at KU, he majored in geography at UNC! Check. In championship starved Chicago he delivered! Check. His will to win, really hard to quantify, but it seemed was second to none. 1/2 check!
LBJ, spectacular talent. That's what I hate about these convo's. Kobe? Incredible, not gonna argue his candidacy for GOAT, but if I did, I'd win! Larry Bird? Top 5 all time, but maybe it's based on the amazing youtube vids that just show amazing and leave out all the rest. Steph Curry? Not gonna argue against his candidacy either. He's changed the game and inadvertantly may be responsible for the 'boring' NBA label that's out there now because Steph made 3 point shooting really make sense.

Holy crap, I don't know how anyone can make a list of great KU players and not mention Wilt (I admit never saw play) and Danny Manning. TRob? Most of those are beloved KU players but who weren't good enough to play in the NBA!

@DCHawker If I recall correctly we were a little underwhelmed by his start to the season. He came on stronger in the 2nd half which is of course what people remember. The BIG tournament was his best part of the season. I really don't pay attention to how someone plays defense so it's kind of tough for me to comment on that but I do wonder if people who say he doesn't play D actually watched him or just formed opinions on what they've heard?
Human nature I guess to talk about Storrs stinkage but Man o Man, Mr. Mayo, your table is ready. Is he playing his way into 1st team AA? 1st team all conference? 23 or more in 4 of the last 5 games and the game he didn't score that much he had 8 assists. He has hit so many big shots.
@mr11 2nd team all BIG is some indicator of thriving. They don't even go to the dance without him. I sometimes wonder does Self call Greg Gard and say 'Greg buddy, got any tips on AJ? Like what made him look competent there in Madison?' I mean I jest of course, but I still believe we can see a Remy like revival of AJ in February and March. We all can hope it happens.
@patoh3 ESPN box is kind of whacky right now. It says he did, but it also said he scored 4 points on 0-2 shooting with no FTs.

@approxinfinity I guess! I'm not a big X's and 0's guy. He had some frustrating moments last year for sure, but nothing like this. They were a 5 seed in the dance but wouldn't have been so with him playing like this. He had a guard Chucky Hepner who's at Louisville now and I think they understood each other pretty well.
