I think Pitt. St. could beat UNC.
Fast breaks are fools gold...
@Crimsonorblue22 Yahoo box score is my source. They screw stats up a lot.
We have 10 different players who have scored between 1 and 3 baskets. 5 have made 3's, and 6 have made FTs. We also have an impressive 13 assists on 17 baskets, and Graham has 6 dimes. But we only have 15 rebounds to their 23.
Are we having fun yet?
This is a Seldon we can live with
You're called Jamtray for a reason. Jam it!
I just looked at a Wichita St box score. No connor Frankamp. Anyone know why he's not playing?
Bragg looks like a keeper
Greene made a pointless three
Fools gold working tonight!
BG sighting?
JV team on the floor it looks like.
@Crimsonorblue22 and you're in Kansas, right? So if you have the right cable service you can still get KU games in Kansas?
Crimson, how are you watching the game?
There you go ruining the surprise again!! The funny thing is the sound on ESPN3 is a full 20 seconds behind the picture, so you say what happens, then I see it happen, then I hear what happened!
Howdy lady and gent
@Lulufulu This ongoing news from Paris makes this game seem very insignificant. I will probably watch, but not even sure.
@globaljaybird I can't wait for pitchers and catchers to report. The Sox are going to figure it out big time for next year!
We've got a lot of friends here on this site and we're thankful for it. I hope this issue doesn't divide us somehow. We need to stick to hoops!
@Jesse-Newell That was a great read. I liked the tough players too, and while it's hard to narrow the list down, I always admired Cole, particularly for his taking on UNC in that semifinal rout in 08. Maybe put him on your semi-tough team!
@wrwlumpy No pic of the campus with the Rocky Mountains in the background? I was looking forward to that!! As always I enjoy your contributions.
I'd like to say the 2013 team until they went brain dead against Michigan should be considered a tough team which won some tough games. We sometimes forget how close that team was to playing for the National Championship. Quite a roster with Jeff and Travis and BMac and Elijah among others.
You'd almost have to say would anyone on this year's team who played last year be a vital cog in 2008 because we really don't know how Vick, and Bragg (or DIallo?PLEASE NCAA) are going to work out in the long run. I would have to say with the skillset of Perry that he'd crack the starting lineup or be 1st or 2nd off the bench.
How do you narrow down 300 some odd KU victories?
I think that beating Florida in Vegas during one of their championship years was a toughee.
The Duke game two years ago ranks up there for me as well.
From our friend @Jesse-Newell
What other games come to mind? What other players come to mind?
I like the hunger strike idea, but I think I'm just going on strike. Calling my principal now. I aint going back to work til Cheick gets cleared.
It was interesting to go back and see the publications that had the Royals finishing 4th in the American League Central this year and the Indians (.500) winning the World Series! While it's an honor to see our name there, I am taking a less optimistic approach. I believe it can happen, but based on this cores results the last two years, I just am not sure how it will happen.
@brooksmd I wouldn't watch an inning of basketball in that circumstance either!
@brooksmd Hi Brooksie, wondered where you've been all night? I had to start the thread and hoped that it would match up to the high standards you set.
Holy cow, this all starts in earnest Friday. Between us and my other love, I've got about 5 games to watch between now and next Tuesday!
We're not going to see much Vick this year if he plays like that.
@globaljaybird I remember Svi making some exhibition 3's last year too.
Does anyone have a running box score? What are we doing on our 3's?
@BeddieKU23 Funny, but I saw Simmons playing more of a point forward the other night. His passing was spectacular.
2 bigs bring the ball up the court in two straight possessions leading to two turnovers. Are we reinventing the forward position?
@Crimsonorblue22 LSU looked good, but they're kind of small despite a 7 footer. That's going to be their downfall I think. They'd be nearly unstoppable if two guys who both averaged 16 and 10 last year hadn't foolishly decided to go pro.
Why did they shoot a T?
I got to see Simmons and LSU play their exhibition the other night. I wish we'd have gotten Simmons!!
@Crimsonorblue22 I knew something was coming with your comment!
I"m not a basketball technician, but I think giving up wide open 15 footers has got to be really crappy defense.
We've missed a boatload of FT's I think.
@DanR That was a great victory that I wished I had toughed it out and stayed up late and watched, but I went to bed. This year, I'm toughing it out!
Good banter there with Chris Piper about always being open.
Wayne bailed out a bit there now?
1 week from tonight we play Michigan State. I think they'll be tougher than these guys.
This game has become really ugly.
If you have ESPN3, that is what some of us are watching. Otherwise I use stream2watch which probably has it.
That's ok, chat away!
Wow, you are like a minute ahead of me
