Good night Ladies and Gents, congrats on your win!
OK, no DirectTV still, watching on the comp which has been intermittent the last 10 minutes. How did Colon get the run in?
Ok, hit it to the right side, please!
130 inner city freshmen await me tomorrow morning starting at 7 AM! Royals can do this now!
1 more inning that's all I've got.
Strike, missed call
As a Sox fan, I can tell you Hochevar is good
Sleep is needed, wanted that run to score there. 11:00 is my limit!
Ya'll still here?
Still no TV, grrrrrr
@brooksmd I think that's why baseball is my favorite. There are no upsets. If the Bears played the Patriots we'd have less than zero percent chance to beat them!
2 months ago my pretty crappy Sox swept these about to win the World Series Royals. How did that happen?
I like that post you wrote the other day.
What it do KU?
I've had DirectTV and enjoy it. But not being local, not sure about the issues people have with telecasting Jayhawk games. I use stream2watch.com a lot and I have chr0mecast which allows me to project it onto my TV.
I'm getting a little nervous because my DirectTV is still out in my area, Fox and NBC only are affected. But they've been out all day. Probably a lot of irked Saints fans around here missing their game too.
Wow
Anyone else watching on DirectTV?
Kieff 11 and 7 at the half in Portland
@brooksmd Thanks for the update, I'm watching it on the radio!
I'm gonna wear my KU short to church tomorrow and tell people that it stands for the Royals, they won't know the difference
radio back on, thanks neighbor
Got it on the radio, heard it
OK, what happened?
@Crimsonorblue22 It's going and coming, mostly going
Crap, TV screen just went out again, blank screen this time
@jsillyghawk Yes, I'm a golfer, I'm athletic!
Gooden double double in a Wizards loss.
TRob, 12 boards, 8 points in 15 minutes tonight, but Nets lost.
@jsillyghawk I hated to see the Sox get rid of him so young and full of potential. Got a pretty decent arm.
@Crimsonorblue22 adjective 1. physically active and strong; good at athletics or sports: That sounds like an athlete to me!
He has 218 career wins, including 15 this season at age 42, so I'd say yes he's very athletic.
Bartolo is a chiseled 5'11" and 285.
Colon's got to be what, 45 years old? He seemed like a rent a washed up player when the Sox had him in 2004.
I lied to Cokie Roberts today. We heard her speak at the Louisiana capital and while I was waiting for my wife outside the bathroom Cokie walked by and I told her I enjoyed her talk, which was actually pretty boring.
Oh, yeah, Royals coming back!
The game is back on TV. No more need for updates!
Radio is saying Rios forgot how many outs there were, is that what it looked like?
That's the Rios we disliked as Sox fans
@globaljaybird I made that drive from here. It's about 13 hours!
@jsillyghawk I feel your pain.
What's your address, can I stop by :)
Got it on the radio, still not showing up on TV. Grrrrrrrrr
@globaljaybird good idea, 104.5 has it. I'll try it!
I have two channels that don't work, NBC and Fox, everything else works. #firstworldproblems
I swear I hate Fox even more now. Get this game on!
Crap there's a message from DirectTV saying service is interrupted! Keep me posted.
I mean you're right @JRyman
You're wrong @JRyman
Those drawings, ugh, sorry, but they don't exactly flatter our guys.
A commenter on the article I referred to about Joel (this was over on the other site) said this gem:
"I'm sorry but Joel Embiid is an embarrassment to all of KU nation. God given talent and athleticism wasted away. What a shame."
Me, I'm not embarrassed by Joel.
I check box scores every day to see how our former heroes are doing in the league. Early on, besides the Morris twins, not much to write about. Although there are 19 former 'Hawks on NBA rosters to start the season!
Over at the other site, there are individual articles about most, I assume more are being written in the days to come as there's nothing about Kieff, Cus, Wigs, Sasha, and Kelly.
The most interesting line from the articles is this on Cliff, who if you didn't know is on the Blazers roster.
His new teammate, veteran big man Chris Kaman, told The Oregonian he couldn’t believe the entire league passed on the rookie from KU during the draft.
"He should have been drafted in the first round, if you ask me,’’ Kaman said. "He is an animal. Getting him as an un-drafted player is unbelievable.''
Anyways, I'll keep us updated a little bit through the season.
