My daughter is filling out her on line application for KU! It's a longshot at this point, but I'll work on her. My last chance to parent a Jayhawk.
@Crimsonorblue22 I'm pretty sure the Sox-Stros marathon in 2005 ended around 1AM. THankfully I didn't have to work the next day.

This is 2015, the draft for 2017 is 1 2/3rds of a year away. I'm not criticizing you at all because I know you're just writing what's been written about these two kids who haven't even started their senior year of HS.

I like to keep my old hoops preview magazines from Street and Smiths. I like to look at their top 20 HS players, who back before such foolishness were just considered the top 20 players in HS. Most of those guys faded very quickly into obscurity to the point I don't remember most of them, yet in 2015 they would have gotten the same tab, future lottery pick.
I wish we could just stop judging them on their NBA readiness before they've even made a college shot!

I love a good conspiracy theory as well as the next guy or gal. However, I have to resist the urge to say conspiracy whenever something goes on against KU.
Conspiracies we've heard over the years.
The Diallo situation, Skal gets cleared proving there's a conspiracy. We don't know the facts folks, just some of the facts. @JayHawkFanToo did a good job of raising this.

Officiating favoring Duke, and believe me, I've banged the drum on this one for a long time, but officials for 30 years have to a person kept silent about orders to favor Duke? (I'm still going to believe it on the KU-Duke game in '86, the KU-Duke Maui final a few years back, and of course last years travesty in the finals with the Badgers! So keeping some conspiracy theories will keep me happier!)
Biased announcers against KU. I mean some people get irate at what the announcers say! I've got an idea, let's make the final four again and then we can have our own personal telecast like the NCAA has been doing the last couple of years. Then we can't cry about what the announcers say! Except listen to Billy Packer in the 2008 title game, grrrr.....!
It was a good post @drgnslayr and I'm certainly not criticizing your post. It was quite funny and actually got my hopes up for a second when I saw "Cheick Diallo Cleared". The first thing I do when I get to our favorite chat site is look for that very headline, 3 0r 4 times a day now.
Of course on the other hand as I ramble on here is that maybe Cheick isn't even a difference maker for us to start with. Last year we were pretty sure we had the winning combination with Cliff. The year before, well we all know, I guess we were just too young, but draft picks 1 and 3 led to the highest loss total of the Bill Self era. Our young guns just haven't made that big of a difference, so here's hoping the old fellers can lead this team with or without Cheick!

Bruce Weber's brother was coaching HS ball at Glenbrook North, a Chicago suburb. He had a star named Jon Scheyer who went into Chicago's toughest HS tournament at Proviso West and scored 49 points against the home team, including 21 points in 75 seconds. He was a MCD's AA, averaged 29 points a game his senior year, was on everyone's list, but chose Duke over Illinois and Bruce Weber. Bruce's brother couldn't deliver his once in a lifetime star to Illinois. That's all you need to know about Bruce Weber. He wrecked Illinois basketball.
Actually, Illinois wrecked Illinois basketball. When they eliminated Chief Illiniwek they provoked the Chief to put a curse on Illinois athletics. Football and basketball have sucked big time since the Chief was banned. The curse lives on, and as we saw last night, they're not the only Illinois sports team living under a curse! (way to go Mets!)
Just checking in, that big inning wow, what a big missed 3rd strike on Bautista. Could have entirely changed that inning. That being said, Royals bats may not have been able to do anything about even a 2-0 lead tonight.
I don't have time to analyze all these dudes, but is Bolden considered a OAD or multi year player? Being ranked 20 makes me think we might have him for a while which is better obviously.
From experience in recent years I think our best case recruiting classes are guys ranked 20-70 or so and if Bolden coming can add some of them then we're sitting pretty nice.
We've always had Chicago players on the roster including Jamari this year and Cliff last year.
