The shot that was disallowed which led to the Movie, Glory Road, about the all black team from Texas Western vs the all white team from Kentucky. Sorry to say that the ex-Jayhawk Adolph Rupp made several racist remarks before the game, which is why we probably don't mention him as much as Dean Smith. However, the top three teams in NCAA Victories have arenas that are all named after Jayhawks. Allen Field House, The Dean Dome, and Rupp Arena.

JoJo had the best Basketball body for a guard ever. So many NBA Championships, so many All-Star games. He and KC Jones were the Bomb.

Anyone notice how Devonte uses a stiff arm to keep the defense from reaching in for steals. I guess it's legal since I've seen no one make a call against.

Our Uniforms will say USA instead of Jayhawks. WOW.

Putting a square peg in a round hole • Feb 18, 2015 02:02 PM

Dribble/Drive is an offense for OAD's that do not need any coach. It is throwing the ball on the floor and saying, "You Are Supposedly the Most Elite - Play Ball." I prefer not to go the way of a Kentucky that has taken the Joy and Heart out of basketball.

@FarSideHawk My God what a team that would have been. Those two Bigs would have been as fast down the court as the other three. Wilt would have wanted to play with a team like this.

The Boys of Summer • Feb 18, 2015 03:06 AM

@nuleafjhawk she was yelling, "You stupid PROCRASTENATERS!"

Using theoretical physics to explain Bill Self and his Basketball Team reminds me of the book, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. There is an argument for all of this with stats to prove everyone's point of view. Some will point to Cliff having limited minutes has cost us all of our losses in the Conference. But the eye test last night, to everyone who knows basketball, told us that Cliff would never be in his element with his inability to handle any of what WVU threw at us in the first half. There is also the human element. Landon went on twitter to apologized to the Jayhawk nation for missing his free throw. Ellis went on twitter to tell everyone that he' is blessed to be allowed to play the game of basketball. Brannen's defense didn't keep him on the bench, it was his ball handling, passing and his inability to create his own shot. Huggy did do some great scouting and has the defense to carry it out. His offense got lucky with three's that banked in and shooting lights out the rest of the time. The rebounds were explained by Seth as a necessary evil that cost them fast breaks on the other end in order to have five guys going for the board and not worrying about getting back in transition. It was a perfect storm for WVU and we lost by one point on a pretty damn good entry pass by Jamari, a better catch by Perry who's speed and location did not allow him to dribble or try to stop. If he had tried to stop, his highly speeded up inertia would of had him landing out of bounds. 610 Sports mentioned KU Buckets on the radio this morning in the same breath as KU Sports, saying that the usual blame game from many of our fans is always embarrassing after any loss and that we feel that it is our birth right to win every game. I do love this team and I am glad that we finally figured out how to break the press and come back from 11 points on the road. I am also glad that the players have taken this loss so very hard. Coach is Coach, warts and all, and I'm glad he has been at KU for 12 years.

I don't see Iowa State losing at Texas, also, OSU could win at WVU. K-State has it's two bad boy's back and are feeling pumped about beating OU. They also know that beating KU could punch their Ticket. Whether KU gets a 2 seed or a 4, there is very little difference in the those seeds. Only a Number one has never been beaten in the first round.

As you can see, he has already started his prognostication on the wrong foot, so make WVU 11-7.

We've had fun with the Parametric musing of Mr. Pomeroy. Let's give him one last chance as things have gotten muddied, to finally tell us, for once and for all, who will win the toughest conference in basketball. Fran predicted 7 teams from the Big 12 will go dancing.

So Cliff should start against smaller teams that don't press. Landon is getting the minutes now.

@Lulufulu This Fox sports article tells us that Kelly will be gone.

They have to be Jayhawks.

Forgot one, Somebody good is going to be left out.

!11717001.jpg ↗

Based on the rules, Jeff is eligible too.

!ku-unc-dunk2.jpg ↗

And the other 8 that get to go to China.

!collage2.jpg ↗

These four could be added to the team, leaving 8 spots open for travel.

WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS • Feb 16, 2015 06:04 PM

Greene will be in if we have a lead at the end for free throw shooting.

Oooooo-oooooohhh! • Feb 16, 2015 06:01 PM

Coach said after the Baylor game that 11 days ago, they spent an entire practice working on the WVU full court press. Of course immediately afterwards, OSU's full court press beat us in the second half. WVU hasn't changed their style and we have practiced and studied it with coach saying we should be ready and tweaking during the game could happen.

Huggy think's that people have solved the full court press.

If Ben, T-Rob and Ty play, good players will be left at home. Development will suffer for young'uns. But they will be allowed to practice for a long time. Coach should have an idea who the top players on the team are that will be doing the traveling. Bragg will go simply because of the tremendous early development potential to get a Big Man up to speed. One other thing, and Snacks might not have anything to do with this, but there could be some coaching changes. Curtis and Norm are targets every years to take over a D1 school. If they actually win the Medal, then they come back to Lawrence feeling like Rock Stars. Ben, Ty and T-Rob would also have to enroll in Summer school basket weaving classes.

KANSAS UNIVERSITY JAYHAWKS • Feb 15, 2015 04:23 PM

Since WVU is the last of the travelogues in our pre NCAA tournament schedule, @nuleafjhawk thought it might be nice to inform the Buckets about their own Campus and it's illustrious Alumni. So here goes.

Famous Alumni

There are so many other, that a second wall was added. The Alumni chosen comes from my Kansas City slant. I have also included my daughter in the mixture, because she is one of my favorite KU Grads.

!collage.jpg ↗

For those who attended from out of state or are from Western Kansas, I hope this compilation leaves no one out. The famous Athletes from Basketball would be redundant on this site however I did as you see include Wilt. Feel free to add names to the list. Jason Sudakis did not attend KU and is an Overland Park boy that chooses to drink in Lawrence and like many others, lives and dies KU.

![2090344724_200d6cbc88_z.jpg]

More will be added soon. The Hot chick is Samantha Ryan, the infamous pornstar that scored a great seat from Coach Townsand on a flight back to Kansas City. Yes, she too is a proud Alum. To all of us on this site, Once a Jayhawk, always a Jayhawk.
