The Bizarro World of This year's K-State basketball team have separated the younger and the older fans from both schools.
At State, the students want Weber gone, the older boosters are proud of Bruce for the many suspensions of Marcus Foster and others. Many picked Foster as the pre-season POY in the Big 12. The words Weber has used in discribing the suspensions are "violations of team Policies."
Many have speculated what these violations are on the radio call-in shows, but we really don't know. k-State will probably not go to any post season tourney, since the NIT says you must at least win half of your games. This futility that Weber has faced is what has separated the young from the old at KU. My son points to the Vegas line tomorrow favoring KU by 5 1/2 points and sees a way to clench #11. The older fans and the many on this sight that dissect every player, every coaches decision and those of each team in the Big 12, see this with a bit of trepidation. A packed house filled with what was once considered our nearest thing to a rivalry until ISU and Oklahoma got good coaches, will be waiting for us in what many call the Wildcat Super Bowl. This game is all that the cats have to play for. Presumably, Foster and Harris will play and the same team that has beaten OU twice, and also have wins over OSU and Baylor might be the team that suits up against us. Forget history, and think of a cornered wild animal. KU must have this game to at least share the title, presuming we win our final two home games and maybe lose at Norman. I like our chances since there is no way we will be taking this game lightly. Tech and TCU have done there share in changing this conference season. If all our players bring energy and Dive for every loose ball we will win. This is the toughest conference in all of college basketball. ROCK CHALK.
@HighEliteMajor That is the Chalmer's play.
Time has run out on letting Cliff stay in the game to work things out. There are 4 games left in the season and we are holding on to a one game lead. I saw nothing yesterday that showed it would be smart to let him stay in and learn from his mistakes.
Seems it WORKED OUT GOOD For you. We have discovered a troll. I will no longer reply to the diatribe that shows up for a loss or close game. @icthawkfan316 had you pegged a long time ago as an attacker that show's up to degrade KU Basketball.
I don't think of Devonte as a baby faced kid anymore, more like a cold blooded assassin.

That's just what we rats needed.
My high school friend was Rick Abernathy, who took the blame for being the 12th man on the field. He was later found innocent when watching film footage at a KU Orange Bowl Reunion which showed a coach pushing him onto the field and another running off. He was also our basketball team's point guard.

Did you see Lucas' line? 9 minutes and zeroes across the board. I'm not saying he's not trying, but I could try hard and have the same line!
But he doesn't pick up three fouls in the first half with moving screens.
Cliff is powerful, but the word confused is the right one. I know the limits of the other Bigs, but right now, Cliff is lost on the court. No one has ever picked up what coach wants them to do as quickly as JoJo and Cliff should never be compared to JOJo. Every one who plays minutes in the Big 12 has a scouting report outlining strengths and weakness. Jamari is doing fine running the weave, which is something Cliff cannot do. Apparently everyone is excited about our new Outside/In policy, should we go back to the High/Low?
Not hustling also kept Kelly on the bench today.
The end of the spectacular play from KU Tweets.
Sorry I don't know who the photographer is that took this photo, but it is the best one of the year. It reminded me of how these two connected on the best Ally Oop of the year today.!image.jpg ↗ Watch for it on Sportscenter tonight.
By the way, in the last picture, there is an awful lot of advertising on the goal post.
@Hawk8086 Coach is letting Brannen play through his defensive lapses, but Cliff is being used by opponents scouting, telling every one to drive on him. He is costing us on the defensive end. With Shepard with four fouls, Self felt comfortable with the best five ball handlers and the fewest defensive liabilities on the court.
@KUSTEVE One of our topics talked about the hate towards Perry missing the last shot. Most of these were Tweets from pseudo Jayhawk fans.
Sorry for four post, it would not take the montage.
It could probably be that Devonte was just holding a hot hand or?
Poor Cliff, he is beating himself up when he's on the bench. Oubre seem to be down on his performance. We don't need the Freshman wall to hit us at this juncture.
I would not trade our two point guards for the UK Twins. Except for Mason's two fouls on a three point shot, they were both spectacular.
Hey Cyber critics, what will you say if Perry is Big 12 player of the year?
New format allowed ESPN to pick the most important game of the week. I'm sure Rick Barnes is not happy with this choice.
I'll take trash talking from other team fans, what makes my blood boil is when a supposed Jayhawk is trashing Perry, Jamari, Cliff, Brannen or anyone with the guts to be brave enough to play here and keep the streak going under the weight of all the great Jayhawks that have worn the uniform. People trashed a walk on, in Conner Teahan who red shirted and sat on the bench for four years to start several games as a Senior and be 4 for 4 from the three point stripe to help beat Mizzou in the last game of the Civil War.
TCU game prediction, Chrisian Garret will be in the box score.
@wissoxfan83 oh, all right...!image.jpg ↗
Texas is a two point favorite at home vs ISU?
I would love to see Texas win that game.
This will be a tough game. They bit OSU the same way OSU bit us. Shepard is a beast on the boards. Although Monday night is an away game, there won't be the cross country exhaustion that has hurt us in a quick turn around. How long of a drive is it from Lawrence to Manhattan? Also, K-State will have a tougher game than we will. I will admire Weber more if he has the guts to keep Foster out of the Nationally Televised Big Monday. There will be a big crowd in the Octagon of Dumb.
Who is KU's Best Player.

Who's it gonna be?
All of you know I have agreed with Self holding out Cliff because of lack of Defense. Just to show you how eclectic I can be, I hereby present this article where CBS Sports say that Bill Self is wrong and that KU will win more by leaving Cliff in the game. For some of you, this will make you feel like HEM when Coach came out and agreed with him about changing his ways on offense.

TCU is riding a Big 12 winning streak for the first time as members of this league. It's only two straight, but they are feeling very confident in their ability to out rebound us again. We almost lost the last game in the Fort Worth High School Gym. The Bucket-Half-Empty_Brigade ranted until happiness came back with a win over KSU. The Frogs are feeling good. It is time for a Phog Slap Down.

Before HD and back when Self had his own hair before the plugs. Closing out the Hearnes Center at Mizzou.
Two great videos 1. new court for Big 12 Tourney. 2. NCAA Five loudest Arenas
Maybe I should not have posted this. Our players might read it and think they can coast.

Rumors that Ben might be plaing in Phoenix with the twins b4 day is done.
Give Drew Gooden a call on how to make millions by living in 8 different cities, playing for 8 different teams.
Last night's tribute from Duke and North Carolina to a Jayhawk.
Win at home and beat K-State. Title.
For what ever reasons he was suspended 3 other times.
What are the NCAA rules for monitor review?
K-State got caught in a trap game thinking about the Jayhawks coming to town. There only hope to make the NCAA is to win Saturday and go deep in the Big 12 Tourney.
With the Iowa State/OSU not turning out in our favor, it is time to look at our fifth youngest team in the Nation and tell them it is time to be men. We are still leading in the toughest conference in America. We are still the favorite. The time for hoping that ISU and OU would be eliminated are over. We have to take care of business at K-State. We can and we will. K-State is the key to assuring that #11 happens. With the Phog helping, even if we lose at OU we will still be Big 12 Champs. After Kentucky and Temple I was not so sure, now we make our own destiny. I know we will do it.
Valentine and Lovelette, I agree, but the best passer, big or small was Mark Randall. He would have been the perfect Big to play for Self. He did pretty damn good in the run and gun of Roy. Always in great position on defense and the smartest rebounder. He did not play fast but he was quick and seemed to always be in the right place. He was masterful in Madisn Square Garden in the pre season against number 1 at the time, Bobby Knight and the powerful Hoosier. His inside passing made Indiana look stupid. It was great beginning for the post sanction period and the start of the great years of Roy.
it would be great to have Ben in Korea.
From Wikipedia.
Well, you just shot a great story all to hell. I've thought the same thing. Basketball is a game of inches. How many times has Brannen in the course of a play been called out of bounds. That's why they have lines. Also, the ref is right on the line and is watching the full play. He is going straight up in the second photo from where he was in the first. If he were more forward, I could believe the celebrated story. My high school friend and hero who played a year ahead of me was in the back court with JoJo. Bruce Sloan. Because of his enrollment in college ROTC, JoJo had to go into the Marine Corp for a while. Red Aurbach was able to get his Viet Nam War service shortened to be able to play for the Celtics. I think his Pre-Hudy body was mostly given to him by the KU Marine ROTC, because at that time almost all Jarheads were sent to Viet Nam.
The Storyline was an ALL black team vs an All White team for a National Championship. The fact that Jo Jo was black was down played in the movie.
