@JayHawkFanToo The referee makes Marcus flop.
K-State backers who protested the hiring of Weber are now trying to get him fired. I actually felt sorry for them when the piano player was hired. WHB's Keitzman, whom I have no respect for, was telling the K-State fans on the radio to at least give Weber one more year. He could not figure out why the Stater's liked Huggy, and claimed that he was a drunk that bought rounds for the students in Aggieville and left the bar tab for the school to pay, saying that it was in his contract, which it probably was. (See $25,000 bonus for beating KU). Things are bad, really bad for the Fans from a school that once had a great tradition with some of the greatest coaches in basketball, like Hartman, Winters, Fitzsimmons and Huggins.
The Cowboy fans will be ready.
By the way, Forte has a bit of Flop and Drama in his game. Where would he have learned that?
Prediction - two technical.
there IS mutual respect for every team we play including OSU, but in these last two years there seems to be more hatred than respect. tomorrow, Iba Arena will finally be full and we will get their best shot. Welcome back to Stillwater, Coach. at least they still love you.

This might help us get to rhe Final Week.
I think the Antler's might be the only one's in the stands at MU. They have made it an unwelcome place for families who would usually bring their kids to a game. Kim Anderson is a great coach, but his Warrensburg background will never allow him to get into a recruits home.
I think that the shot clock came about because of Dean and the Four Corner. Big men like Chamberlain changed so many rules. So now instead of the Four Corner, we have a shot clock where the half or the game end with an Isolation. The one play that reminds me of Hockey.

And Finally, you can be a part of history like this: Just bought a page of stamps today.
Texas is a destination job and one of the best with more local talent than almost anywhere. If Texas wants an elite coach, they will get one. the money will be fabulous and the prestige of the University and what it could become with a winning coach will make Texas a tough out if Barnes leaves.
Both start out empty... But one is filled for every game. Last year, the one on the right was 90% filled for a practice, where many lower middle class fans got to see the Jayhawks in person for the first time.
To quote @jaybate-1.0, "It used to be that rich folks went on cruises and everyone else went to a basketball game, now, it's the other way around."
I'm wondering what UNC will get in punishment. I get the feeling they will be judged like Wall Street and considered too big to fail. Such a sad state of affairs.
I think that Svi has lost money coming to America. The Big 12 is way tougher than Eastern European Pro League. He planned to stay two years, Now He might just graduate. There was no way his 17 year old frame was going to play against Texas or this last ISU game. He will be a star, but now, he is backing up a back up. Let's hope he falls in love with a Local girl that knows how to cook. Also, the University could hire his parents as instructors.
Why does Mizzou want to play us again?
They did just get the best recruiting class in football today with the number 1 defensive tackle choosing MU.
Many of us on this site have commented on the empty seats at Iba Arena and also we saw more evidence last night in Norman. What has happened in Oklahoma is that the Money is being spent in Oklahoma City to watch Durant, Westbrook and a guy who just out of the blue signed an 8 million Dollar contract for two more years, 48 year old Nick Collison. Even last year with Marcus Smart attendance was bad. We all wonder how the Sooners who have been ranked all year had all those empty seats last night. This article spells it out for Attendance in Oklahoma.
"The arrival of the NBA's Thunder in Oklahoma City is believed to be one contributor to what the Tulsa World in March termed an attendance "crisis" among the state's major college men's programs. In recent years, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have both witnessed double-digit percentage declines in attendance, and Tulsa University's arena was more than half empty for most games last season. "People only have so much money to spend on basketball, so what game do you want to take your son to? Probably a Thunder game," former TU player Jason Parker told World sportswriter Bill Haisten. "I've been to three TU games this year, and I've been to three Thunder games. The Thunder games are always a great show, no matter where my seat is. That building is electric."
Kansas and Iowa State seem to be the only two teams that don't suffer this malady. Both are rich in BB Heritage, Both have colder winters, they both also have poor football teams. Texas has the same problem with all the pro franchises in the area. Maybe it is a good thing that the Sprint Center didn't get a pro team.
Attendance is low all over the country except at the blue bloods and the new upstart's like UVA. The West Coast never seems to have a sell out anywhere except in Arizona. The power of a packed house like Allen Field House is immeasurable.
what would Hank Iba say about his arena being half full?
Sorry about two rankings, can't figure out how to delete without the ghost posting. Nice logo for Texas.

WVU now plays the toughest part of their schedule. When they go on the road, they really go on the road. On Coaches show last night, a questioner asked about the difficulty of playing in Morgantown on Big Monday after Baylor on Saturday with only a half hour to work on the WVU press, right after working on the Baylor press, flying to WVU, playing the game, immediately flying home and getting in at 5 a. m.
Huggy has complained about travel because that scenario happens every away game for them. Bob Davis joked about Lubbock being a quick return trip. Playing in a different time zone hasn't worked out well for too many teams. I remember disastrous trips to Oregon and Temple against lesser opponents.
It's all about the match ups in the tourney.
I sweat these last 5 road games and especially WVU. WVU plays an entire game like ISU played the last five minutes. I read some Guru's Tweet that if you can get the ball across half court, you can beat WVU. I see where Coach puts a tall ball handler to catch the in bound pass, like Perry or Kelly who can turn and throw over the top to the middle of the court. If we can do that it will be dunk city. Making free throws down this final stretch will be key. We've proven most people wrong already so lets get to the Final Four and hope that the boys want to get back at Kentucky like they wanted to against ISU.
HEM's wife caught him at 3 a.m. watching this clip over and over.

50/50 balls...
Holly asked Kelly at shoot around how he has made such an improvement from the first of the year until now. "I've never had a coach work me as hard as coach Self does." The first ten minutes of this game was about who would imposes themselves on the other team. Iowa State worked there butts off to keep the lead, but once Brannon came in and hit the three, the Phogg took over and the second wind and the third wind took over. I was shocked when Holly said, "Coached asked Perry if he was ready to go back in, Perry said not yet. Coach said we've got another time out left, we'll put you back in then." Self knew that the exhaustion factor had to be controlled. This was a war, and the chess game now involved who could still breathe. Hudy helped us win this game. If you look at the box, you'll see who the Iron Men are. Even though Devonte played 14 minutes, Frank still played all but 3 minutes. Hustle was there all over the court from all, but being tired mostly rears it's head at the free throw line.
Finally, the Phogg. Fran did his usual travel guide urging all who have never been to Allen Field House to see in person how amazing and wonderful this Basketball Mecca really is.
Pundits at half calling Brannen, Vinnie, "the Microwave", Greene.
Dirty.
Fran quoted Self as saying he was working on this game after KSU till midnight in his office and back again early Sunday for this game plan. Tough, well fought, sometimes dirty win.
Tough and well fought.
Two exhausted teams!!!
Teahan behind Hunter.
Most of our arguments this year have been about changing the offense to get the most out of our personnel. We just always assume that the defense will always be here as long as Self is here. We have lower stats than ever before but the most positive sign yet this year was when the first half ended against K-State and they had only scored 17 points. If we are not shooting great, then we have to rely on defense. Don't ever blame Coach for not covering all the bases.
If we're hitting 4 out of 5 threes, then all is well. If we're not, we need this man's constant emphasis on doing your job on defense. Recently, all this talk about Cliff getting more minutes goes away when we go back and look at the tape and say, "Yeah, I guess he is hurting us more by being in the game and not blocking out on free throws, not getting back on defense and not bringing his MOTOR." IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MOTOR! All other things will take care of themselves if energy is there.
If anyone has 10 minutes of tape after the Temple broadcast, an East Coast Guru was saying no chance that KU wins or shares the Crown. Texas and Oklahoma are the class of the Big 12.
We let them score 86 points. Someone said that 21 points were scored because we did not get back in transition.
Here's the box from that game. Perry and Wayne both fouled out.
@KUSTEVE We sure looked like bully's after this video. Beautiful wife, Crying boy, EJ became a national villain for making this young man feel this way. I like the kid. If you really care about winning, then tears should be there when you lose. Hell, Roy used to cry after every tournament loss.
In the last game, Holly did a piece on Fred's wife. Will we see one on Cindy tomorrow night. Will Mushburger hit on Holly again?
OK to be mad, but it is better to get even.
When the rankings come out, you'll notice that Wichita State has dropped like a prom dress.
@HighEliteMajor it is pretty obvious, and we all know the truth. You have Bill's private phone number. Who calls who? Is he friendly?
Finally HEM, I found a way to agree with you.
"He makes us a better overall team. His defense is not at the level of Oubre or Selden. We know that. But Greene is closing the gap."
All I know is that he sure does get the crowd going when he hits those beauties. I thought you were writings Fran's script today.
@jaybate-1.0 Please don't throw softballs to those who want to talk politics. I have strong views, but I remember Brian Baldinger saying on national TV, "this Jets team is fired up like the Republican party after a Sarah Palin speech."
