Vegas has this one KU favored by 15.5..

Seems high given Iowa ST has lost by 4 to West Virginia, 7 to Oklahoma & 3 to TCU recently. Their recent results don't speak to us being 16 points better then them.

Recently (last 3) Bolton- 20ppg, he's the kind of guard KU has trouble guarding. Inconsistent 3 pt shooter but gets to the line and draws lots of fouls (13-13 ft) last game.

Coleman 44% from 3, Johnson 44% from 3, Harris 57% from 3, Walker 50% from 3. As usual Iowa St a 3 point chucking team.

Thoughts on this game?? Self even mentioned he thinks they are playing their best ball, despite losing

@BeddieKU23 Ya that seems actually pretty high, and not trying to take away from our guys either but hell even with our better teams that's a stretch. - - I think all things considered how we have struggled lately , might be showing some signs of coming out but still our struggles , only 2,500 fans in the stands, Iowa State 3 pt shooting although that's not for the entire year - still can stroke the 3 going to have to defend the 3.

Once again we going to have to go through Dave , Iowa State has no answer for the inside - -I think I read off their board Cundiff is hurt - take advantage of size. Off their boards they talked about our size & length we overall average 6'5 - - -Iowa State 6'3 - use that to our advantage. -They talk about getting worked over on the boards by other teams , we got to make sure that continues.

Overall I would think the line should be I would think more like 8 not 15 1/2. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

This is a bad team. We are 20 points better than they are. If they get hot they can keep up. But they really give up a lot of easy looks for two and even games they have played well they lost. Who hits 16 threes in a game and loses besides Auburn?

@BeddieKU23 ISU has only beat a couple of SWAC teams this year and that's it. Even KSU beat them by 9 this year.

I understand this isn't a good team. They haven't really played much games with their full roster and have had covid interruptions. The body of work says we should win easy but recently they have played 3 straight teams to single digit defeats. They usually play KU tough even on our home floor with full fans. Recently most of their rotation guys are shooting the 3 ball well which is something KU really struggles to defend.

I'm obviously hoping they play well tonight could care less if we cover, the line did surprise me though

Why play at Gonzaga where about 32 of the max 40 games are against just shit competition??? Early in the year they were trending to be the worst two point % team in Self's tenure at KU. They are up to 49% on the season which is actually a big improvement.

Zag's schedule is definitely inverted. OOC way stronger. Sometimes SMC and BYU are decent.

This Iowa st team could go 500 in the wcc. They usually UNC and some other high profile team. I'm sure few is a good dude and makes the most of his players....Suggs is good...I get it....but its a weak play in my book.

St. Mary's is down this year so BYU is their only real competition in conference. Not too many of Gonzaga's players leave early so they have a lot of continuity in the program. Also something to be said for being the only game in town, not to mention being the big fish in a small pond .

Thats one of my main complaints....I want to like the NBA so much, but weak conferences inflate stats and "playmakers" to the point where they are now in the league and take a spot from someone deserving.

So ochai shoots a 3....if he misses....it going to be a long rebound...right? Big Dave sprint from the free throw line and is under....directly under the basket looking for the rebound. I guess he thinks its just going to bounce softly off the side like a layup. I think he does it every time too and I just really noticed it.

Also look I'm not saying we are amazing but all of the losses are to teams currently ranked. This team is decent and possibly getting better. Love having Bryce back.

I like the bench being shortened. I think it sends a good message too. You want to play. Find a way to improve in practice

Yeah I am imagining that will be a focal point this offseason.

They needed a confidence boost and are now just enjoying the game.

Kinda. Harris is a D1 guy, realistically a back-up at P5 level. Bryce could develop more PG skills. Still need to add a guy though.

People here are panicking because we might get a few inches this weekend and temps may get "all the way down" to the low 20s. Lines at the grocery store were pretty nuts today.

I love animals in general. I put out food as well. There are dogs but I think those all have "owners" they just get out and roam.
