He should have waited and went to UNC.

Going from 1 school to another within the conference. Understand his connection with Texas. He's a good coach and he'll do well at Texas, welcome the competition. I don't know if there's a code for coaches but this reeks of an unwritten no-no

ya now Texas will REALLY become legit - -recruit well and can Coach on top of that - Texas will become a factor for sure.

Oh ya - -time to strap it up. I think Coach has already has made big strides with the new comers we got coming. Think we have the chance to be pretty dam Salty again next year, love the make up of this team.

Plus with Roy retiring I just think it just kind of takes NC out of the picture or at least not as much of a factor for Aidoo might be enough to sway him to come here, love his wing span - we finished 2nd in his recruitment the 1st time - - hopefully better this time

lol - - oh ya lol - -might even get so close might even start taking warm showers together and have sleep overs lol

@BeddieKU23 Meh. Tech knew that if he had success there he would end up at UT one way or another. And you know if KU had a vacancy first we would have thrown fistfuls of cash at him.

He even negotiated his buyout to be less if he moved teams in the B12 lol.

Perhaps Self knew this was coming as well thus the urgency and immediacy of the roster overhaul. Now we've got Baylor and Texas as potential perennial landmines to conference titles. OSU is coming on as well. The sledding is getting tougher even without looming sanctions.

@tis4tim Baylor is about due to take a step back. Scott may even have to go back to the zone next year once Butler and Mitchell are gone.

Texas is likely going to be returning to the status level they had during the early and mid 2000's when Barnes was at his peak and KU-Texas was always must see TV because it was usually a top 10 match up.

With Nike recruiting money behind him, Beard is going to win a national title at some point with Texas.

Have they announced their intentions to go pro? Either way, there is always a little regression when upperclassmen graduate/leave, but there's no denying the elite level at which Baylor is currently recruiting. They seem to have reached the "reload" tier and are poised for a long run of success.

Then again, with Beard going to Texas Nike may decide to pad the nest there since the Texas name has more cache nationally than does Baylor. Either way, KU has its work cut out for it. I hope the infusion of talent lights a fire under Bill. It sure seems to be working at the moment.

I am sure those TT fans hating on Beard would turn down the chance to move up or make a huge national splash 100% of the time. No, they would stay in the hinterlands with a smaller, less competitive employer forever, because of loyalty.

So what Texas players are left and will any TT players follow Beard?
