Ha , that's crazy as was just listening to pre-game and Coach said he didn't know what they were going to do yet. - Said Dave had an all Big 12 practice Thursday didn't think Dave and Mitch like it to much KJ getting the start and thought KJ done fine cause he was just kind of thrown to the wolves but did fine and expects him to be better today. - -Thinks all 3 will play

It was impressive. We don't need Remy, team plays better without him. This is the first game without, take a good look.

I'm going to have to find a place to watch the post game interviews. Huggins is always fun to watch.

He’s definitely fast. Today he showed big time toughness. Still has a tendency to checkout for a couple minutes at a time with some nonchalant turnovers. Which isn’t a great trait to have coming off the bench. Today. He still made some mistakes but immediately made up for them with big hustle plays.

Total spank! Great confidence booster. Play like this every game and it would be tough to pick against us

@BShark yeah, he just needs to make his shots. We need to keep him on campus.

Best half of the year (first half not so great). Solid all around games by each of the starters - stat stuffer games. But, we need to get to the line more. And, until empty the bench time, we only had 3 point from non-starters, albeit some solid minutes from Yes and KJ.

Yes looked really good. His play should earn him more playing time.

A lot of factors are leaving Bill little choice right now, so I think he will continue to play. Bobby clearly isn't right yet after the injury plus covid.

I wonder if the mental side of the abdominal strain has had time to really heal yet. Didn’t he hurt it, feel better, then reinjure it? That can really haunt the confidence in your own body.

@DCHawker I don't think we've ever had a game with WVU where they weren't ahead of us( other than today). Then they fold like a house of cards. It's weird- we always kick their ass in the 2nd half everytime we play them.

One thing that we can't do? Deny a sophomore Joe playing time while hopefully banking on others. With Remy being injured(?) there is playing time available for all.

Pettiford's problems today were the same as ISU. He can't handle high major D1 level pressure defense yet. Yesufu is probably the better play against teams that pressure more than Pettiford is, but Yesufu is also still an inconsistent player as we saw with his shooting today.

I'm still pissed that refs call fouls without seeing a foul. Braun got robbed on the best defensive play in the game. All ball, but the ref had to call a foul because it was two guards in the paint. I'm sick of that.

The second half wasn't the ceiling for this team, but it's a lot closer to their potential. It was a good time to put things together.

Hopefully, this gives them confidence that they can deliver a knockout to almost anyone and they can work on consistency at or near that level.

Didn't see that coming after that intense defensive effort in the first half.

For those saying we don't need Remy...that's ridiculous. we need Remy. He's quick, athletic, and skilled. just hasn't found his niche yet.
I doubt any rumor of him leaving is founded in reality.
And obviously what this team needs is for Dave to play, and to play well. (but more KJ!)

Plenty of negatives in the first half (Braun was horrendous, Petty couldn't dribble), but far outweighed by the amazing second half effort.

And why couldn't Braun just wipe out Huggy Bear when he bumped into him? :)
