No Kev or Jamari again

Juan will play most likely tonight on one good leg.

Should be lots of fun.

It will help if we can keep the game in the 60's. Tech shoots 48% and 36% and is tied with BYU for second lowest turnovers. They score and defend almost evenly with us. So the game is likely in the 70's. Hunter for 22, Juan, Johnny and KJ for 45 so ten points from our 5th starter and bench may just do it. It's a season saving boost if only.

Tech will definitely be up for this game, in no small part because they would move ahead of the Hawks in the conference standings and would be pretty well positioned to challenge for the title. They have probably the easiest remaining schedule of any of the top half teams. Includes road games against WVU, OSU, and UCF.

who knows maybe we just surprise people tonight. Come out with what we DO HAVE and play solid & pull this out.- -We've hit a bad stretch with injury- - illness , and under achieved - yet you sit back and look could always be worse-- -Could be Kentucky- -loaded roster -- -loaded bench and yet like 124th ranked defense and they all over Cal's ass - trying too get him fired. --can always be worse , could be like other teams in Big 12 may not even make the tourney --just kind of a of year for us. We really haven't had a cruise game in conference , just goes to show the depth of this league- -

For us combination of things - -were maybe not quite as good as in other years -- - other teams better then previous years - -injuries - -no bench just a combination of things. One thing people want to keep ragging on Juan- - the kid has a heart of a Lion, as bad as he twisted that ankle surprised everyone by coming back in and all he does is scored the last four huge points in that final game. NO ONE should challenge this kids desire/heart -he is 1000 % JayHawk through and through - to a couple on here he is just not good enough - -that's sad.

If he is so piss poor then why is it I've heard from countless analysts saying he is one of the best point guards in the Nation, I think they ought to know be able to judge a kid just a little better then some Couch
potato Coach's.- -These are other College Coach's- -former Coach's-- others that follow players and judge their value -I think I'll take their opinion more then some of these other bizarre comments
on this kid --always gives 1000 %- think people are discouraged so they have to find a can to kick and that can is Juan - - -wrong can to be kicking

ESPN puts KU on Big Mon Road games hoping for KU loss so their viewership and subsequently ad revenue goes up.

Tech 14-0 when holding opponents under 70 this yr. Unless we shoot lights out I don't see them getting more then the other day where they limped to 64. We just don't have the firepower on offense without Kev. Best bet is to slow the game down, control the boards if possible and get lucky.

I'm sure Tech got their optimal ref crew in for tonight. Just like going to Morgantown, there are no rules to be followed in this gym. They haven't built a good home court all on their own that's for sure

Self's not going to play fast because it sounds like we're again only playing 7 scholarship players tonight and a less than 100% Harris amd if McDowell is dressed out, he'll be less than 100%. Self's going to turn this into a bad ball game and play slow to try and conserve as much energy as possible.

He also said after the Baylor game that there's a lot of similarities between Baylor and Tech so we should see a similar game plan as Saturday.

These guys that are sick must be pretty bad. Anybody know what's going around there? Hope everyone is isolated.

Playing Harris 36 minutes in a game that they lose by near 30 with a bum leg is not a smart decision. Billy getting a bit stubborn again and not helping the cause of getting guys right. I just don't understand him sometimes

For those members around the team, is there frustration from not winning (or getting playing time) that may lead to transfers?

Hunter is a true post scorer. He has lost confidence in his three point shot but we need him to get over that.
Kevin is a volume shooter with a decent percentage from the floor overall but prone to cold spells along with the hot spells.
KJ scores as he always has and can come up with 15 on nights he makes all the two footers.
Juan is more and more figuring out the off the backboard layups and yes treys.
Johnny is an athletic scorer from deep, on the break and in the paint.
Nick has a good looking stroke and likes to posterize anyone at any time.
Elm can score from anywhere and is a very good midranger.

Ok. to me it just seems like he's been ranting and raving up the sidelines more than usual, acquiring technicals. Coaches and players holding him back. I don't keep track over the years of his techs, but both the ranting and techs seem to be more than usual. That's all.

I’d be interested to see the amount of fouls called in KU road games compared to home games. It feels like a lot of low foul games when we are on the road and just getting mugged up and down the court but that could be recency bias.

I think it's not just a KU thing but a road thing in general. But in regards to it being a KU thing I'm sure the stats will show a difference

How many doinks or that annoying shattering rim sounds did we offer up? That is why we lost I mean they shot lights out and didn't hit the 80 mark.
We can expect better from our three PG, SF and C. Hunter can do better than at the rim air balls. Surely he is practicing treys.
