Id agree with you that the press conference isn’t a big deal but most of the fanbase is gonna take a dump on DP and not think rationally because bill keeps changing the story and making it weird and vague

bill's a legend but his messaging around the whole DP thing has been terrible

Elmarko just has no feel for the game and can't get low enough to dribble around people. Think part of it is coming back from a serious injury but it's still brutal to watch

Second half felt like bill wanting the team to play without Peterson. Really pleased with what we saw, tons to improve on but this is a very athletic team

Tiller's movement skills at that size are crazy

Flory needs to learn how to stay out of foul trouble. He is LEVELS above the other bigs on this team

I'm more excited for this season than I was for last season. I was pretty sure we had no nba guys and we were running back a core that still had horrible fit problems. We got the potential #1 pick on our team this year and a bunch of athletes. Tons to be positive about

Bardwell would be like 20 as a freshman if he doesn't reclassify so I'm gonna assume they're gonna make it happen

Seems like we were connected to a ton of 5 star wings after bland came on and they decided on Bardwell. Excited to see him play

The key is having nba guys on the roster. There's no NCAA champion that's won without nba guys, and usually the easiest way to get a surefire NBA guy is through OAD. Most portal players are flawed.

I'd imagine everyone involved would like flory to play at a high enough level that he can go to the NBA after next year

We're getting good penetration in the backfield but once we get there the tackling and finishing of plays has been really really poor

Should be getting that play in ASAP

Horrendous missed call but JD's ball security is horrible. Carrying the ball like a loaf of bread after getting bailed out earlier

I don't blame people for being a little low on this team given the history of the last 2 seasons. But this is a totally new team built around a great NBA prospect with athletes all across the board. As you said, we'll get an idea of whether or not they should be ranked higher earlier with the non conference schedule

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we turned down two top 30-40 wings in London Jemison and Sebastian Williams Adams last year and now we have barely any wings and three open roster spots. The fetish for transfers and overall planning has been horrible. Not even sure if those guys would've been super impactful but we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel at this point and someone would've been better than no one.

Rippey's the type of dog we need at the PG position. I mean he plays on the Adidas circuit and his dad played for dooley this shouldn't be that hard.

I will say Scheyer basically cleared out the entire duke roster outside of proctor and that totally paid off. But I have very little faith in bill to build a coherent roster at the moment.
