I've heard this ........oh about 100 times so far today. And all season. YEP - they're lucky. They're the absolute worst 12-1 team in the history of the NFL. OH - did I mention that they're 12-1?

Worst 12-1 team ever!!! “But we are 12-1” - Captain Jack Sparrow. It’s pure entertainment for me at this point to see what the general reaction is. Yes you make your own luck thru preparation. The NFL is a tight league where records mean little on a week to week basis. These men are getting paid millions to go as hard they can go and they are the best in the world at what they do. 7 games were decided by one score or less so far this week. The Bills barely squeak by the jets(a few weeks ago), they are gods. The Eagles barely edge out the same Panther team that KC struggled with no worries (tip of cap to them, they have turned a corner). People are mad because their team can’t play bad and still win or play good yet some how lose.
They have had the worst injury luck of any team in the NFL by far this season

I have the joy and pain of working with a Chargers fan who went to Missouri. Very weird back and forth today!
NFL has not done any favors by handing a brutal schedule. They plan on every day of the week except Tuesday.
Seth Keysor has a Substack blog ("Chiefs fan in the north"). His column today is about the anxiety dominating almost every game as fans have had to wait until the last second to finally feel optimistic. Quite funny!
Subscription was $12 and absolutely worth it. Each week he has 2 articles minimum with film analysis and deep dives into coaching decisions, roster changes, etc.

Meanwhile, Chiefs signed CB Steven Nelson (Chiefs' draftee, 2015) to the practice squad. Josh Williams getting hurt Sunday might mean yet another ex-Chief returning to the nest will play meaningful minutes, maybe this weekend.
So, the Chiefs start out as 2.5 pt underdogs to Houston on Saturday. Houston, who's losses include the Jets and Titans. I know Mahomes' ankle injury contributes to the line and I sure didn't think Wentz looked very good. KC has certainly suffered its share of injuries to be tabbed as a lucky team.

Any team that has beaten Buffalo has my attention.
Vegas did not think Mahomes was going to play. That is why the Texans were favored. Now that Mahomes was a "full participant" today at practice the Chiefs are favored by 2.5 .
