Let's have another round of trivia!

This time it'll be all time KU record holders.

First up...

QUESTION

Name the all time leader in assists for KU men's hoops.

(Bonus points for the top 5)

Aug 28, 2025 01:37 AM #2

@rockchalkjayhawk dajuan, then aaron miles, jacque vaughn, kirk, and … frank?

Aug 28, 2025 02:18 AM #3

You got 4 of 5 names correct, but Dajuan is NOT the top dawg.

The missing name is one of my all time favs!

(Mason is #8)

Aug 28, 2025 03:21 AM #4

Miles is #1, Juan #2, Vaughn #3. Not sure after that I think Hinrich is up there so we will go with him and Devonte at 4 and 5.

Aug 28, 2025 04:27 AM #5

I think its Miles, Harris, Vaughn, Kirk, and Adonis?

Aug 28, 2025 04:50 AM #6

Miles is #1!

But y’all are still missing a long-ass armed, mid 80s assist machine.

Aug 28, 2025 04:52 AM #7

Miles 954

Harris 865

Vaughn 804

Xxx 684

Hinrich 668

Aug 28, 2025 05:23 AM #8

Negative.

The missing name was the King of blocking guys from behind on breakaways.

Aug 28, 2025 05:27 AM #9

Jojo

Aug 28, 2025 05:42 AM #10

NoNo

Aug 28, 2025 05:47 AM #11

1983-1987

Aug 28, 2025 02:06 PM #12

That’s before my time haha I knew top 3 with Juan passing a bunch of them last season. Without cheating with google I couldn’t tell you

Aug 28, 2025 03:22 PM #13

All right, we’ve toiled long enough…

Cedric Hunter is #4

Aug 28, 2025 04:49 PM #14

Became a fan in ‘89. Just missed him.

Aug 28, 2025 05:19 PM #15

Cedric ran that team full of talent that should have won it but they got victimized by the coach K whistle in the FF.

Aug 28, 2025 06:48 PM #16

QUESTION

Name the all time leader in blocks for KU men’s hoops.

And bonus points for the Top 5!

Aug 28, 2025 07:08 PM #17

I think it is Jeff Withey because Wilt's blocks didn't count. My guess at the top 5 is Withy, Ostertag, Aldrich, Manning, and Doke? I am sure there is someone I am overlooking.

Aug 28, 2025 07:39 PM #18

Withey for the win with 311!

good point @Jhawk69
Wilt is pretty much the leader in these stats, but his stats weren't recorded properly.

You got:

1: withey -- 311

2: ostertag -- 258

3: aldrich -- 253

4: ?? -- 243

5: ?? -- 242

Aug 28, 2025 09:20 PM #19

Eric Chenowith?

Aug 28, 2025 09:25 PM #20

TRob? That one against Missouri alone should put him in the top 10!

Aug 28, 2025 09:28 PM #21

Paul Mokeski
At some point this is going to work.

Aug 28, 2025 10:43 PM #22

Chenowith is #5.

4 got a standing ovation from Dick Vitale…

I thought I saw Mokeski’s name somewhere in the record books, but not for this one.

Nick collison

A lot of people say the the 86 team is one of the best in Kansas history to not win it all right up there with the 97 club.

Aug 29, 2025 02:01 AM #26

Collison for the win!

Aug 29, 2025 02:02 AM #27

QUESTION

Name the all time leader in made 3 pt shots for KU men’s hoops.

And bonus points for the Top 5!

Aug 29, 2025 02:04 AM #28

And just for @HoraceZontal

Who's #10 in all time blocks per game in KU history?

Aug 29, 2025 03:34 AM #29

@kjayhawks Oh most definitely. Beat the national champs Louisville twice that season!

Aug 29, 2025 04:47 AM #30

@rockchalkjayhawk Boschee

Aug 29, 2025 05:30 AM #31

@Jhawk69 said in More random KU trivia -- all KU records this time:

Victory!

Anybody know the other four? Hint: you only have to go as far back as 1994 for one of em, and 2014 and up for the rest.

Aug 29, 2025 01:40 PM #32

@rockchalkjayhawk Billy Thomas, Svi, Graham

Aug 29, 2025 03:22 PM #33

@dylans said in More random KU trivia -- all KU records this time:

You got #2 and #3 and #5!

Aug 29, 2025 03:44 PM #34

Either Frank Mason or Occhi Abaji?

If they had the 3 pt line in 1986, Ron Kellogg would have been on the list. Somewhat overshadowed by the rules and stats like Wilt vis a vis blocks.

Kellogg! One of my favs. Sadly they didn’t have the 3 pt shot for some of his career, right?

So he didn’t make the top 5.

Ochai for! He’s #4.

Frank #10.

Aug 29, 2025 05:46 PM #36

Just to summarize the 3 pt shot leaders...

1 -- Jeff Boschee

2 -- Graham

3 -- Billy Thomas

4 -- Agbaji

5 -- Svi

QUESTION

Name the all time leader in games played for KU men’s hoops.

And bonus points for the Top 5!

Aug 29, 2025 05:52 PM #38

That's gotta be DaJuan. As for top 5 I am going to guess Sherron Collins, Frank Mason, Perry Ellis, and Devonte Graham.

Aug 29, 2025 05:57 PM #39

@rockchalkjayhawk Does that count games played in Robinson Gym? I lived in that place so i'm guessing I'm top 5 for games played, to the detriment of my GPA I might add!

Aug 29, 2025 08:42 PM #46

@dylans said in More random KU trivia -- all KU records this time:

TJ Pugh didn’t last long at KU, did he? He was feisty.

Aug 29, 2025 08:43 PM #47

I stand corrected. He was a four year guy. Who am I thinking of? Hmmm.

Aug 29, 2025 10:52 PM #48

Prison Mitch was up there

3 and 4 are a big with a championship pedigree, and a little that reminds some of a current player.

Aug 30, 2025 03:40 PM #52

Clyde Lovellette, but I doubt they played a 40 game season back then if they won. I was thinking Perry Ellis too but no championship. Brandon Rush also comes to mind but can't remember if he left early. I know he was going to until the injury kept him in school, praise the lord.

An odd one, but…

Which former Jayhawk is the all time leader in turnovers committed, and No. 3 in Steals?

Aug 31, 2025 04:41 PM #72

Tyshawn!
Or DaJuan

Ty

Aug 31, 2025 06:06 PM #74

Ty

Oddly Tyshawn wasn't near the top in steals.

Sep 01, 2025 01:12 AM #77

All good guesses, but nope!

Think early 2000s, and he played with his good buddy, and is now a coach in the pros.

Sep 01, 2025 01:19 AM #78

Aaron Miles?

Sep 01, 2025 02:56 AM #79

Ding ding ding!

Aaron Miles for the win.
