I am SO DARN LUCKY my kids had a soccer game AND a concert tonight. I had to DVR the game. By the time the concert was over and I got my first update we had a nice 15 point lead in the second half and relaxed. As I watched the DVR we started great and then BLEW it again. I went back and double checked-yes it was the KU - TT score.
Then we lost the lead late in the first half-rechecked ESPN AGAIN.

YES-KU had a good lead late in the game. I was able to relax other than have my BP go through the roof-But same problem.
Build a lead-let them back with sloppy play and TO's.
TO's are my biggest pet peave-most are lazy play or carelessness. At this level and playing at KU-maybe it is AAU ball that's the problem.

@JayhawkRock78 Yeah they started off good and air mailing the 3 and then the shtf. Finally got it back together after about 5 minutes of the 2 half when they went back to the 3 and started playing some good d. Plus Perry found his shot in the second half.

I think that was as good a 3-point shooting I've seen a KU team display in a game.

If we keep that and improve our rebounding and eliminate the turnovers, this team is lethal because the scoring can come from anyone.

We're athletic enough, quick enough.. Only thing we don't have is the giant presence under the basket.. But our 3point shooting is good enough and diversified enough that it more than makes up for it.

We miss the premium blocking of the past, but this team is working on steals. That would probably be even better than blocks.

All in all, the team is getting more dangerous.

They just need consistency.

@bskeet CONSISTENCY!!! Yep, if the 3 is falling I'm all for letting it rain to cover our shortcomings under the hoop. Then you draw the D out and maybe just maybe we can get some inside shots to fall. 11 of 26 made fg's were 3's. I believe in live with the 3, die with the 3. But when that's about all you got you go with it.

I actually enjoyed it when I was younger but my old back is worn out. I can't tackle the big hedge & locust trees like I used to. Those days are over. Heaviest thing I want to lift anymore is a fly rod, a nine iron, or a gallon jug-imagine that?
