WVU on the road might be tougher than OU at Allen Field House. We have the guards to protect and we will work on full court press using 7 against 5, but traveling to the
East Coast for an early game in a sold out basketball loving school, (Thanks to Jerry West and Bob Huggins), with a quick turn around is going to be very - VERY difficult. They again lead the nation in steals. We win if we don't hesitate against the press and ATTACK! I would love to see if Diallo might be allowed to play with the speedy starters against the press in a transitions game of Diallo dunks.

@wrwlumpy 1st road game December 30. What's wrong with coaches these days who don't want to play away from home?

Jan 10, 2016 09:21 PM #25

Great stuff as usual Lump - worth the wait! haha

Jan 10, 2016 09:51 PM #26

Beautiful stuff, thank you. I wish there were name tags on more people, I'm ashamed to say I don't recognize everybody.

@wrwlumpy WVA is also home to the Greenbrier Resort, where Tom Watson is their Emeritus Golf Pro. My brother stopped off there for breakfast last week when he drove from St. Louis to DC.

During the Cold War The US government kept an underground bunker there to relocate the Congress in case of nuclear attack. You can now tour parts of it.

Totally off topic, but there's been no sight of @HighEliteMajor this past week. Was looking for his take on the last two games. Have i just missed him?

Jan 10, 2016 10:23 PM #30

I am totally OK with Jennifer Garner. Her everyday-mom-looks clean up quite well for the red carpet...

Jan 10, 2016 10:26 PM #31

@wissoxfan83 Maybe my buddy @HighEliteMajor is still in utter speechless disbelief that Lucas and Traylor made key contributions vs. OU, with Lucas "carrying" the KU team for a few minutes (like Kaun vs Davidson). I am half-joking, of course, as I had my doubts seeing Lucas in there late, but, hey, the big kid came thru for us.

Jan 10, 2016 10:35 PM #32

@wissoxfan83 Someone said they read one of his takes on the other site.

Jan 10, 2016 10:52 PM #33

@wrwlumpy I saw Jerry West, Gail Goodrich, and of course...Wilt Chamberlain in the "Fabulous Forum" in LA when I was in the 6th grade. They were in the midst of their record setting 33 game winning streak. That would've been in 1971, I believe. I was so far up in the stands, I could barely make out the players, but I could certainly make out Wilt and the gold headband.

Jan 10, 2016 11:00 PM #34

@KUSTEVE Yeah, I got to see them a year later when they scrimmaged at Rockhurst College (now Rockhurst U), the night before they played the KC Kings. Awesome lineup.

Jan 10, 2016 11:07 PM #35

I was in the Naval Reserve color guard before the game so I got to watch from the front row when Sam Lacey Fouled out, Tiny Archibald fouled out and Bob Cousy was thrown out getting a double T and the Kings still went on to beat that Laker team in the Old Arena.

Jan 10, 2016 11:50 PM #36

@ralster Ditto on Jennifer Garner.

Jan 10, 2016 11:58 PM #37

Do WVU players still get 4-5 steps after picking up their dribble in their house or do they have to play by the rules now? Looks like the best person to come out of WV played 3rd base for the Royals. And does anybody else think their house looks like the top you cut off a pumpkin for Halloween?

Jan 11, 2016 12:47 AM #38

@wissoxfan83 limited activity on twitter...not sure what's going on there.

Jan 11, 2016 03:15 AM #39

@wrwlumpy I absolutely love these posts. Thanks so much for doing them!

@MoonwalkMafia where else can you get this history, and also grilling tips?

Jan 11, 2016 03:27 AM #41

@wrwlumpy I'm disappointed you didn't include a burning couch or John Denver's "Country Roads, Take Me Home."
