He is actually only at plus 35 for the season as a whole. For perspective, the top 6 are Curry, Thompson, Durant, Green, Paul, and LJames. The first 3 are over 400 (Curry 490), the next are over 300.

Joel's +/- reflects primarily how bad his team has been for the whole season. The team is tied for 28th in the league at -6 points per game. All those losses add up. When the wins continue, the plus side will grow.
