I got 4-4. It's a really tough stretch. Lemme know your predictions.

Jan 24, 2017 07:07 PM #2

@BShark

I hope for 8-0

I think more likely 6-2.

I think these kids will rise to the occasion on some of these "on paper tough" games

@BeddieKU23

I'm hopeful we don't drop more than 2 for several reasons.

Of course, we need to win #13. So that is the main reason.

We also need to raise the level of play, considerably. We've had a cakewalk up until now. It is time for our guys to really be tested and pushed.

I like that we have so many tough games together. It makes us raise our level of play and hold it. If we can hold it through 8 games, we may just hold that level of play right on out through March.

This is where this team grows up. Especially for Josh, Carlton, Lagerald and Svi. Those four can really use some "seasoning." Imagine what this team might become if we can get better play from these four?

And if we get these four to play better, what will that do for Frank, Devonte and Landen?

Jan 24, 2017 07:24 PM #4

@BShark I think we'll take some lumps I'll say 5-3.

Jan 24, 2017 07:30 PM #5

@BeddieKU23

6-2 and I think this team has FF possibilities.

Jan 24, 2017 07:45 PM #6

@drgnslayr

I almost said 7-1 but that might be a slightly unrealistic prediction given just how many tough games are coming up.

I don't even know where the loss would occur. I think we can win tonight even with WVU facing a life and death situation of dropping 3 straight. They are not playing that great and even though they have recently played out of their mind against us in Morgantown I think our guys want this win tonight. This is a pride check game for KU.

The game in Rupp is a toss up. Whether Kentucky has Fox at 100% is important.

We can beat Baylor at home and Iowa St next week.

Kansas St on the road on Big Monday is probably the 2nd hardest game we'll play in this stretch. The K-St fans are going to be beyond bat-crap crazy. That will be one emotion filled game.

At Texas Tech looked harder before we played them first time around. We match up well with them and their play has slipped.

West Virginia on Big Monday in Allen will be a fun game. We'll see how tonight goes but I expect we'll hold serve.

@BeddieKU23

If I was a gambling man I'd bet we lose at Kentucky and at KSU.

There is a reason I'm not a gambling man.... I'd be broke!

@drgnslayr

Guess tonight favors us winning according to this ESPN stat. Hope it holds true.

Kansas is 4-0 in true road games this season, but tonight's game at West Virginia is the Jayhawks' first road game against a ranked opponent. Kansas has lost 3 straight road games at West Virginia; they have never lost four straight road games to a Big 12 opponent.

@drgnslayr

I have those as losses too. Then split with Baylor and WVU to get to the 4-4. Then close the regular season 4-0.

ESPN also had WVU winning the conference until recently. :p

Jan 24, 2017 11:26 PM #10

@BShark four losses in conference puts us out of contention for a one seed.

Jan 24, 2017 11:39 PM #11

@HawkChamp they probably wore out the tapes by watching them so much on how to break the press. just need to implement what coach has showed them and most important-keep the composure. we can leave with a big W!

Jan 24, 2017 11:47 PM #12

6-2, losses come early, Big regroup- big finish! They always have that one scary moment before the finish the climb. The tournament is always a crap shoot, but like always we have a
shot. I really think our bigs need to find a way to contribute more. It stills looks like they are figuring out a simple thing. Rebound and react. Defend and distribute. Be what some of our nonscoring wings used to do pre wigs, oubre, etc. Facilitate action.

Jan 25, 2017 12:11 AM #13

@HawkChamp

Losing to UK means 3 conference losses.

Jan 25, 2017 12:29 AM #14

Mason is pulling out early... doesn't work. commit drive get fouled.

Jan 25, 2017 12:35 AM #15

Bragg... best start to meaningful game... methinks yes.

Jan 25, 2017 12:47 AM #16

Graham looks quick/sharp. Mason a half step slow... I hope I am imagining it.

Jan 25, 2017 02:54 AM #17

I was afraid this would happen. Seems we play in Morgantown around this time every year and take a lump on the mouth. They will come to AFH and we'll repay them.

I hope to be wrong, but Mason's knee may be an issue.

Jan 25, 2017 03:03 AM #18

@truehawk93 seems like they got outhustled - not surprising. Selfs teams normally have road games where they get outhustled. Just don't like seeing it

Jan 25, 2017 03:20 AM #19

@HawkChamp self used the word fragmented, seemed appropriate

Jan 25, 2017 03:23 AM #20

Well, saw Villanova lost also. It happens, I guess

Jan 27, 2017 04:47 AM #21

@HawkChamp They do always have a really nasty game. Let's hope they rebound fairly well and salvage the remainder of the conference with #13.

If you would have told me 6-2 with one of the two Ls being at home against ISU, I would have told you to shut the front door.
