@jayballer54 Jekyll and Hyde team that relies on the three way too much.

Well, lets be honest guys. KU did not come to play ball against ISU. I mean ISU makes all those threes which is unprecedented in AFH but we still gave them that win.

@Lulufulu Agreed, it was really just a prefect storm for them to win. They couldn't miss from deep and we could hang on to the ball or make a FT.

It's typical to have a let down after your super bowl.

@BShark like us after Kentucky and baylor

I expected them to lose.

The volatility of ISU is why they are a bubble tournament team. Obviously the KU win gives them a major edge over most bubble teams but if you can't beat Texas how do you belong in March. They have 9 losses now and it seems a given they will have 12-13 by selection time..

@BeddieKU23 ya pretty much spot on. - -. - -I do have to say though Texas is getting some what better, you can see them slowly starting to improve. - - Allen going to be pretty good, they are really young. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer54

Definitely, Allen and Andrew Jones are NBA players. Jones has been playing at a high level and has been the biggest difference maker for them.

Shaka has found the only way to keep competitive is to slow the game down and rely on his defense. They would have never lasted in an up and down tempo

@BeddieKU23

Texas barely beat an ISU team that played very poorly. Also, by the end of the game Texas had only 3 fouls (sounds familiar?) with under 23 and 4 with 7 seconds left in the game and ahead by 2 so they were able to foul twice and forced ISU to inbound the ball and waste time and never had a good look to take a decent shot to tie or win.

I did not see the entire game but looks like very few fouls were called; with 23 second left in the game it was 20-11 in favor of Texas.

I'm surprised they didn't abused ISU inside all game but other than that it was a nice game by UT.

The utter nonsense of losing to hated IowaSt at home in AFH rests squarely on the KU team. Everybody and their brother (& even their williewildcat cousin thrice-removed) knows that Self preaches better defense than what we showed...allowing an unranked, but very well known and scouted team to drop 90pts on us in AFH. If only Frank's end-regulation Duke-killer shot attempt had dropped...

But, this will reinforce the Self lessons. Good time of year for it. Get your ass refocused. Just like the 08Champs lost to Sean Sutton in Stillwater, and also to Beasley/Frank Martin in Bramlage that year, it did refocus them.
