Why does Purdue get an extra day of rest before we play them? Is it because it's a home game for KU?

I've spent some time wondering why the games are set up the way they are also.

I was also curious why the # 1 seeds don't find out their play in opponents until Wednesday while others have more time to prep.

The entire tourney has to be logistical nightmare so there are just likely to be unavoidable things like this.

If you look at it down the road, and if Kansas wins, It could buy them an extra day's rest for the FF.

@wrwlumpy The pod system sets up these incongruities. Trying to get as many teams playing near home as possible means teams get extra rest compared to their opponents.

I haven't felt this comfortable about a win since December (discounting uc davis of course) short of the big dog, caunzo, and Hummell getting in a time machine and suiting up Thurs night...I don't see any possibility KU loses.

With JJ and mason driving at will...they are getting layups or getting swanigan in foul trouble. Either way, it's a win win scenario.

Sagarin has KU by 1.5, Massey KU by 3.5, Vegas opened at 4.5 and it is now 5 for KU. I take KU.

Gonzaga favored by 3 points over WVU. I will take Huggie and the points.

Baylor 3 point favorite over USC. Take Baylor.

@drgnslayr I received my journeyman Mechanic card in boilermakers when I was 28. I've seen plenty of that type damage in my life. Didn't know I was claustrophobic until stuck in the opening tube after sandblasting the inside of one when I was a younger helper. My mechanic had left for some reason & I was freaked out scared plum :shit: less. Eventually let my card expire & had a 30 year career as a welding inspector. Made a damn good living as a blue collar guy then rode into the sunset with 30 & out. Have been retired almost 9 years now-God is Good & we're livin lake life at da rock. Table Rock that is... todays temp abt 90 deg...

@drgnslayr I was there once and it's not the most scenic campus, nor is it the most scenic town. The best part about it is its' proximity to Chicago and Indianapolis!

Shouldn't higher seeds be given benefit of extra rest for the second game.

Noted the other higher seeds have the early start times....

@Blown I really don't think a couple hours makes a huge difference outside of playing the next day, Purdue had a extra day compared to us but we still got 4 days between games.
