Barry Brown saw the ghost!!

Jan 13, 2018 09:10 PM #5

@kjayhawks

I prefer the kitty sad trombone...

Jan 13, 2018 09:20 PM #6

Malik Newman traveled on those FT's, hehe!

Jan 13, 2018 09:28 PM #7

I thought we were done when Doke got tied up under the basket. It was clear at that point they would get the last shot. Fortunately, KSU screwed up their last opportunity.

Jan 13, 2018 10:32 PM #8

Brown was still phoggy in the post game interview.... Q: why did you walk it up the court. A: I dunno. Q: why didn't you pass it to Wade? A: I dunno.

Jan 13, 2018 10:42 PM #9

You see this is why I don't like Weber. How many times has he made excuses? Or even threw his own kids under the bus?

Man up Weber and grow a sack. Just admit you're just a half pint at best when if comes to the Coach. Oh and try to have a little class. Your kids played their hearts out and mostly like the best game they'll play all year. They did that on the most scared court in all of America. If you weren't such a selfish douche bag. You would honor your kids instead of dishonoring them, with your excuses.

No wonder you have so many transfers and have a hard time recruiting. Your ego is bigger than reality.

Jan 13, 2018 11:01 PM #10

@DoubleDD and then he says ask Fran what he thinks about the refs in AFH. Whiner!

Jan 13, 2018 11:21 PM #11

Bruce blames the refs for losing

Bruce will have a book of excuses by the end of his career. K st couldn't ever do better then this dip

Jan 13, 2018 11:24 PM #12

It's literally anyone's fault but Bruce. That's his MO.

Jan 13, 2018 11:34 PM #13

Jan 14, 2018 12:21 AM #16

@BShark Ahh, this just wants to make e break out the hankies and daub my eyes - -Poor ol Squeaky - just can't get a break at the Phog - dog gone the luck - when is he ever going to get a fair shake lol

Jan 14, 2018 12:41 AM #17

@BShark thanks. Most my KSU buddies want him gone but hes got the “refs cost us the game” KSU staple down pad. What a chicken s***, I’d never let my son play for a loser like that.

Jan 14, 2018 12:56 AM #18

UT lost a close one.

Did you think this is where we would be just 5 games in?

“I shouldn’t comment because I haven’t seen the tape, but I would bet over the course of a game, and more importantly over the course of the season, that they pretty much balance out,” Self said of calls. “I’m not going to comment what another coach says, but if that’s a reason for losing, or losing a great game, that was a great college basketball game where two teams played their butts off, I don’t buy into that at all. At all.” -Bill Self after hearing Weber’s comments. Weber already isn’t a well liked guy in this conference but goodness, help yourself out and put down the shovel you fool. I mean give a rival coach extra motivation and make the refs dislike you even more.....

Jan 14, 2018 01:11 AM #20

Bill is a stud. He gets it.

Jan 14, 2018 02:04 AM #21

Bill is a class act on it and on most things. I'd like to point out that ppl should remember this next time ya wanna blame the refs for a loss. Cause it absolutely has happened here. I've always said. It's okay to complain about an obvious bad call. But it's never ever been the reason for a loss. And I've always said it's a k-state excuse for losing. Weber proved my point today. So next time anyone wants to say the officials cost us a game. I hope you'll remember this day. Don't be a Bruce

Jan 14, 2018 02:05 AM #22

@cragarhawk

Wait til monday. That should bring a few it's the refs fault

Jan 14, 2018 02:09 AM #23

Weber has officially lost his damn mind. I think we all question calls, but in the end, you don't lose on any one call. It's how your team plays. I question many calls against KU, but in the end, KU loses. The refs don't lose games for teams. The refs don't score points or coach teams.

Weber's job must be based on beating KU. He can lose to any other team, but if he loses to KU, he's fired. Also, fined? What 'fine' is he talking about. He babbles like an idiot.

Well WVU does foul multiple times every possession. They know the refs won't call them all.

Jan 14, 2018 02:13 AM #25

@BShark Simple strategy for Huggy. If they foul all the time, the refs simply won't call it all the time.

Jan 14, 2018 02:24 AM #26

@BeddieKU23 well if so I say we dub them de Bruce's

Jan 14, 2018 02:46 AM #27

Weber is not a bad coach, he cannot recruit or keep players but he can coach; however, when he says stuff like this he sounds like a whining little beotch. I don’t believe his issue is losing to KU, his issue is losing to Self.

Jan 14, 2018 02:54 AM #28

@JayHawkFanToo I think he’s a mediocre coach at best, if you take away his first 2 years from Illinois and KSU when he had teams that other guys built, he sucks. His record at KSU is 111-73 with a conference record of 47-48.

Jan 14, 2018 02:58 AM #29

@kjayhawks

Like I said, he can’t recruit but he does ok with the players he has; he always manages to play KU tough. I don’t have an issue with his coaching, I have one with his personality and that annoying voice of his...worse than nails on a blackboard.

Jan 14, 2018 03:09 AM #30

@JayHawkFanToo I agree totally with you about Weber as a coach. I hope he stays coaching the kitties until he is as old as Snyder.

If he stays that long maybe they will rename their homecourt "Squeaky's Octagon of Dumb".

Jan 14, 2018 03:45 AM #31

@Gunman haha I like the sound of that, @JayHawkFanToo I think Weber can coach talent as long as he doesn’t have to develop it. He may actually be better suited for the NBA in all honesty.

Jan 14, 2018 04:10 AM #32

@kjayhawks X's and O's yes.High baskeball IQ, okay. Just can't quite picture Bruce Almighty is getting a whole lot of NBA inquiries. Been wrong before, just saying.

Jan 14, 2018 04:20 AM #33

@Gunman As much as he is on the court during play l can see one of NBA studs running over him; accidently of course. And as the television cameras zoom in on his crumpled body he's crying loudly 'WHY ME' like Nancy Kerrigan. lol

Jan 14, 2018 04:21 AM #34

I don’t take the high road on officiating, which seems to be the heroic thing to do. Refs control and affect games all of the time. Nobody wants to put blame on refs cause you sound like a whiner. But it happens. Josh Jackson’s first 2 whistles last year against oregon were a joke and it changed the entire complexity of the game. Graham’s whistles in the Villanova game changed the the game. The forward progress call against the chiefs changed and affected the game. Players miss shots in game Coaches make mistakes in game. And refs blow calls. All three affect the outcome.

And in WV, it will be true. For every team.

Jan 14, 2018 05:41 AM #36

@Blown not incorrect.

Jan 14, 2018 05:43 AM #37

In our mock funeral for Bruce Weber, his tombstone can read, "death by ref"

Jan 14, 2018 06:42 AM #38

The key being that more than just the refs affect the outcome. Until someone plays a perfect game and still loses because of a blown call it won't ever be the refs fault anyone lost

Jan 14, 2018 03:08 PM #39

Being able to recruit and retain players is a huge piece of the puzzle of college basketball.

Bruce has straight up ran off good players.

Jan 14, 2018 03:14 PM #40

It took me a bit to find where Malek Harris ended up.

http://www.kwcpanthers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3907 ↗

I wonder what the full story was here.

Jan 14, 2018 03:16 PM #41

Another one Bruce kicked off the team: http://www.spctexans.com/sports/mbkb/2017-18/bios/maurice_isaiah_alexander_2tao ↗

After the 14-15 season was the big one though.

Marcus Foster, Jevon Thomas, Jack Karapetyan, Tre Harris, Malek Harris (previously mentioned) and Nigel Johnson. That's 6 players kicked off the team in one offseason.

Jan 17, 2018 01:37 PM #42

He loves us so much KSU beat Oklahoma. Thanks Squeaky!

Jan 17, 2018 06:42 PM #43

Man..... what do you all think about Diarra? Clearly he is still greenwood... but mannnnn is that guy athletic! If he develops his game and reaches most of his potential, I could see him in the league someday.

Jan 17, 2018 06:44 PM #44

@drgnslayr He looks pretty salty for a young fella to me, will be a torn in our side for the next few years.

Jan 17, 2018 06:44 PM #45

@kjayhawks

...assuming Weber can hold on to him... :smiley:

Jan 17, 2018 08:52 PM #46

Kid can play, will be really nice as a JR/SR.

Jan 30, 2018 05:02 AM #47

How much zone did K-State prepare for from #kubball? Bruce Weber: “None.”

In all honesty if Weber can keep a couple of these guys from his usual transfer quota they return every single guy that played in tonight’s game but I believe in Bruce, at least one will jump ship lol.

I have KSU and ISU tabbed for good seasons next year barring defections.

Jan 30, 2018 05:45 AM #51

@BShark I agree 100%

You would too having to listen to him for a year. Guys RUN once they realize

Jan 30, 2018 12:12 PM #53

@BShark i swear, Bruce is Wilie Coyote and Bill is the Road Runner...always 3 steps ahead.

Jan 30, 2018 01:02 PM #54

@BeddieKU23 Can you imagine the soundtrack in those poor kids' nightmares?

Jan 30, 2018 01:38 PM #55

I don't see anyone leaving from this KSU group. There haven't been reports of him getting sideways with any of these kids and he only has one kid signed so no one is being force out either.

Feb 25, 2018 01:42 AM #56

Bruce Weber was asked if Trae Young is the Big 12 Player of the Year. "To me, the Big 12 Player of the Year is (for) the people who win the league."

Feb 25, 2018 01:54 AM #57

@BShark interesting hearing something I actually agree with coming outta his mouth. As much as I hate to admit it Bruce has had a decent year at silo tech and probably finishes 4th in the league.

Feb 25, 2018 01:57 AM #58

@kjayhawks They had a real chance to be second or third but today's results make that quite difficult. WVU still has to play TTU again so that's a loss for one of them so maybe KSU can still get third if they win out.

Feb 25, 2018 04:57 AM #59

@kjayhawks he was always good about praising perry Ellis

Feb 25, 2018 05:20 AM #60

I wonder who he thinks coach of the year should go to...
