Sitting 17th on the all-time scoring list.

Passed Jeff Boschee last night. He will pass Tyshawn Taylor and Wayne Simien in the next few games. Still has a chance to crack the top 10 depending on how far we go..

In 2nd place on 3 pointers made with 270 trailing.. Jeff Boschee.

He's tied for 15th in the Big-12 all-time.

His energy was awesome last night. Hope it continues. Senior Night next Monday for him..

One of his better games as a Hawk last night for sure.

Feb 20, 2018 02:43 PM #3

Now if he can just garner Tournament MOP he will get his number retired.

Feb 20, 2018 03:55 PM #4

Doubtful he gets his number retired without Tournament MOP. He isn't going to be a first or second team AA. He likely won't even be Big 12 player of the year. He's had an excellent four year career, but I can't see a route for him to get into the rafters without an MOP.

I can think of a definite way where Devonte can make the rafters... all he has to do is win ONE game in April!

Mercy , he has turned into quite the leader hasn't he? - - he seems like he plays with such poise - -driving the ball a little more, making good assists - -just a very solid player. - -When I think about it - -STILL hard to believe that Devonte was headed to who? - - APP ST?- -WOW did we get lucky and have him fall into our laps or what - -between him and Frank.

Just a little side note - -was kind of Cool to see josh back there, good to know he wanted to come back for a game. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@BeddieKU23 By the way Boschee has his Missouri Southern State Lions in 2nd place in the MIAA.

@jayballer73 My sentiments exactly on Devonte'! DG is a stud.
We scored big time with him and Frank!
I also loved seeing Josh in the stands too. Reminds me of when Self said" Josh unpacked his bags." Other than Joel, we have not had another high ranked prospect that cared enough about KU to come back and visit. Love it. Rock Chalk!

@Lulufulu I thought it was pretty cool wiggs went to coach's HOF induction. Diallo was there too and has been back too. Ben Mac comes back a lot. One guy that doesn't, and surprises me, is TRob. He always speaks highly of coach and KU, can't figure that one out. A lot of guys come back!

Feb 21, 2018 09:53 PM #10

@Crimsonorblue22

Yes, TRob has not been back much, that is indeed surprising; KU and the fans were highly supportive of him during his personal down days. I believe he is playing in Russia now. The twins have been back a few times and so has Ben Mac, like you mentioned; he has been a great KU ambassador with all the community service he did in Sacramento.

Feb 21, 2018 09:56 PM #11

@JayHawkFanToo I laugh when I think of the twins coming back. That's all I'm going to say!

Feb 21, 2018 10:01 PM #12

@Crimsonorblue22

Well, they spice up the night life in Lawrence, that is for sure.

Feb 21, 2018 10:42 PM #13

I often wonder if the pain of his personal life in Lawrence is just too much of a reminder for TRob, despite the support and love he received during his down days there.

Feb 21, 2018 11:14 PM #14

@CRH107 those are my thoughts too. I did find the tree they planted for his mom. As you can tell, he's my favorite.

Feb 22, 2018 04:20 AM #15

@CRH107 I believe that to be the case unfortunately. I love when guys come back regardless if they were here for a year or 5. We are all one big family of Jayhawks.

@Crimsonorblue22 @kjayhawks @JayHawkFanToo

One of my favorites because the three look angelic in this throw back (June 5, 2016):

@CRH107 love it!

@JayHawkFanToo

BMac is a special man. All our Jayhawks are... but BMac has taken his early struggles in life and put a huge smile on his face now while carrying a monster heart for humanity. He truly is special in his own way!

Feb 22, 2018 03:59 PM #19

@drgnslayr ...and BMac was a young player who needed to go to the league when he did but (like Frank) really didn't want to leave KU. His is truly a remarkable story of overcoming adversity while turning his struggles into gratitude and service to others. Kudos also to Coach Self and company for their role mentoring BMac both on and off the court.

Devonte is in 15th place on the all-time scoring list. Passed Wayne Simien

Feb 26, 2018 01:59 PM #22

Climbing up the assist list too. Should end up behind Kirk.

@BShark I will never forget that DG smile. The sheer joy he showed every time out.

Feb 28, 2018 03:33 AM #25

Is there a way to find out how Many times DG has fouled out? For a guy playing as much as he has the last 3 years I can only recall him fouling out against Nova. Smart defender. Probably gets overlooked.

Feb 28, 2018 04:12 AM #26

@Blown Excellent observation. He has fouled out just four times in his career here. Twice his sophomore year, once last season, and once this season (at OU). More amazingly, with all his minutes this season, he has only had three fouls seven times. DG is quite a player.

Mar 01, 2018 03:35 AM #27

@HighEliteMajor thanks for the assist. Heck of a memory you have there! And he led the team in steals in 2015 second on team in 2016, and leads the team again this year. So, it’s not like he isn’t being somewhat aggressive.

I think Garrett will be good ball hawk, too.

Mar 01, 2018 11:45 AM #28

@Blown You’re right, he is still aggressive. And my memory is supplemented by checking out some excellent websites like https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/ ↗

Mar 01, 2018 01:26 PM #29

@HighEliteMajor That site is great. Took me a long time to get an idea how much is there. It really is fun exploring the different drop downs. And you can do searches that filter out info.
