I'm not a believer in predictions, but I am concerned about our level of play against OSU, especially after the half-hearted effort in the second half of the Texas game. I hope it's important to Devonte and Svi to keep their streak of no sweeps by any Big 12 team during their KU careers. But Vick and Newman may very well take the game off. My hope is for offensive and defensive intensity to build momentum for the upcoming tournaments.

That's sad to see players at an elite program to not be in the game mentally every time. Very disappointing

Exactly. Zero mental discipline. Turnovers and missing rebounds are indicators of 1. No discipline and 2. Mentally soft.

Us being behind is really all my fault. Before we played OU, our defense eff% was 24th. We win 104-74, and it goes up to 33rd. Then we beat Tech 74-72, and it goes up to 39th. Then we beat Texas 80-70, and our def eff % raised again to 43rd. So I told them that winning was really hurting our defensive efficiency, so it's my fault.

The person that gave it to me as disaster relief was appalled that I used kitchen matches. :-)

He said good lighters, when combined with butane manufactured with extremely low impurities, greatly enhance the flavor of a good cigar.

I think this may be a little bit like the 10/10ths types that get deeply into wine. I can taste differences out at the high margin of wine, but I just don't value those differences enough for the price.

I have a feeling this lighter business is similar, but I thought I would throw it out for discussion to ease the sting of this 21 point debacle.

@Crimsonorblue22 Svi wasn't supposed to be Svi. I remember the hype around him was 2 years. It's hard to say how things will shake out. Agbaji and McCormack look like 4 year players to me though. I like the kids we have on the team, it was just a bad effort yesterday for whatever reason.

I finally looked at the box score. Two numbers stood out. Bad stat: 1 assist in a total of 120 minutes by all the guards not named Graham. Nice stat: Only one turnover in 51 mins by the subs. (Of course, they might not have had much chance to commit any since the starters were committing 16.)

If we lose game 1 of the conference tourney, it will be because its pointless.
