Message of The Day Quotes
Oct 25, 2013 12:11 PM #1

Need message of the day quotes -- can you guys drop a few on me so I have something to cycle through? If they're current and entertaining, brilliant, if they're not current but memorable, great too. I want something I can fall back on and cycle through if we don't have current quotes so I don't need to feel bummed out that I'm not jaybate when I stare at a blank yellow box with a blinking cursor in it and nothing comes to mind. Thanks!

To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy.
But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.

Dec. 11, 1993, after an 86-79 victory over visiting Iowa.

And this gem:
When Iowa State hired Jim Criner from Boise State to be our head coach they had a nice press conference to announce this. Johnny Orr attended this press conference and it went something like the following:

Reporter: Jim what are your feelings about being at Iowa State?

Jim: I'm real excited to be here. These players are big and fast and I can't wait to get on the field this spring and see what we can do!

Johnny: You think these guys are fast, you should see the ****ers from Nebraska!
