What a surprise!

Great! Another opportunity to smash the Cats on their own court!

I'm selfishly disappointed, I wanted this year's game to be in Reed Arena so I could make the hour drive up to College Station for the game.

Beating Kentucky again is a nice consolation prize to watch I guess.

I live in Ohio and have never been to Rupp. This may be there year since my son is now 8 and loves basketball and the Jayhawks.

This is going to be a fun matchup. UK will be super young again, probably starting 4 freshmen. Hagans, Quickley, Johnson, and Montgomery. I think all their guys stay in the draft.

UK will have a very talented but also very young and inexperienced team. When KU beats UK it will get it that much closer to the top in all time wins and will make it what? 4 wins in a row over UK?

No surprise that KU vs. UK is the matchup. This is the marquee matchup in the Big 12-SEC showdown. The only other one that would draw as much interest is KU - Mizzou. The next time KU and UK play in the Champions Classic, KU will draw Mizzou. The only disappointment is that the game will be on campus and not at a neutral site.

This (Kansas vs. Kentucky) is one of the premier matchups in all of college basketball. The two all time winningest programs facing off is something special.

Selfishly I was hoping the game was in Allen again so we could talk about that game. Ya know the one we won by like 600 points or something

Not next year. SEC only plays 10 teams, so four teams get left out each year. Next year those four are Mizzou, Auburn, Mississippi State and LSU.

@justanotherfan Didn't Auburn win the league? It is kind of odd that they would be left out.

I think they won the tiebreaker with Tennessee based on head to head results, but I could be wrong. Mizzou was 6th in the league, so it's not like the teams left out are the bottom four from the previous year.

It’s all about viewship, these past few games between us have been great. @wissox Bill Self is 5-3 I believe vs UK as our coach. We played them too much when they were great and little when we were.

@Crimsonorblue22 so note to self-myself, they pick the Sec, big 12 challenge games 2 yrs in advance. So since mizzou sucked 2 yrs ago, they have to finish in the top 10 this yr to play next year.
