This kid committed today. I think as a PWO. Just amazing that kids are now really wanting to join KU football.

It's been a decade since KU football attracted talent. I don't want to get ahead of myself -- we still need to see what happens on the field -- but the vibe from and around the program seems greatly improved.

Hell ya , and on top of that - think we have a really great kid Ashaad - changed his last name it was Clayton - now Johnson - he is a Pooka Williams version II - -Another Rb from Louisiana -

He made his announcement that his decision is coming soon. - he tested just recently at a 4.37 forty yd - blazing speed. - think we got a great chance at hime - -Good times on the Horizon buddy

@nuleafjhawk A WR from Georgia. To me it's not so much about this kid in particular but that kids are reaching out and want to be a part of this. AWESOME.

3-Star Walk-On is a good sign.

This is the type of thing good programs have happen to them. He may not turn into anything. Or he might be the next great story.

Very true and you can always look at it like this also. - -If we are starting to attract 3 * players as Preferred Walk on means that we are getting more involved with 4 * players and getting at least their attention - We have been through the time where if we got a 3 * to even give us consideration we would be in 7th heaven. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Just watching his film, I"m not sure he's a 3* guy. He's definitely a Small-D1 or Good-D2 guy. But he doesn't have that fluidity you like to see for most P5 skill players. But this is the definition of a no lose situation for KU.

Tbh I'm just thrilled we're landing decent HS players. I think the line commits will come later as the staff gets a better feel for how guys are developing.

I read where we are right there in the mix for 4 * QB Chubby Purdy - he is the brother of The QB at Iowa State - -but no don't think he is going to Iowa State - -out of Gilbert Arizona

Also visited K-state , others involved are Louisville - - -Arizona State - -Boise State - - -Cal - -6'2 - & 212 lbs - -rated as the 8th best Dual QB. - -would be nice addition. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well for FYI - -in case you are interested , thought I'd put in some updates - -you may already know just haven't seen anything so:

Read where we are getting a visit from a 3 * QB out of Downingtown Pa. - -Name of Will Howard 6'4 -- 205 lbs - -looks pretty decent.

The bigger news is we made the top 5 final schools for a 4 * OLB out of Dallas Texas. - -Now let's be real chances of actually getting him to commit? - - probably not that great , BUT then again we did make his final 5.

Brennan Scott Dallas Texas - -6'1 - - 230 - - the other Schools remaining Big Dogs , pretty impressive : - - Oregon - - USC - - -Texas - - -& Auburn. - -but you think - would of we even got a knock on the door with the previous staff ? - Coach Miles getting these inroads done - -making progress - -as old Coach M would say - - keep chopping wood.

Again the chances of landing - maybe not the best , BUT look at some of the teams he cut to get to the final 5 : Arizona , Arizona St , Arkansas , Baylor , Colorado , Florida , Georgia , Iowa , K-State , Kentucky , LSY , Michigan State , Minnesota , Nebraska , Oklahoma , Ol Miss , Purdue , Texas A & M - -that my friends is a pretty impressive list. We are still in the hunt - -these schools got cut - - chopping wood Coach.

Right now we are ranked currently with the # 36th ranked class in the Nation - were still very much in the chase for at least a couple of other 4 * players - If we could end up in the top 40 at the end of recruiting - - HUGE JUMP - that is called progress - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well these players just keep rollin in - just read off the phog and then seen his announcement on his twitter:

Don't know a lot about the kid - but Jaylen Richardson - -from right here in Kansas announced tonight that he was staying home and is 1000% committed to Kansas.

Like I say don't know much right now only he is I think 6 ft & 200 lbs - - not even sure where he played - what school. -Sounds like he played running back in school - but a poster said from what he saw on tape was he was to slow to play that position in the Big twelve was getting caught from behind several times. - said think the plan is to get him up to about 215 and have him at a line backer position - -

Anyways this makes like 10 recruits for 2020 - Hell with Coach Beaty de he get that many during his final 2 years?

@BShark Very true, I’m hoping we can win 4 games and compete in several more. Hopefully giving us a shot at a couple of 4*

true - -just have to gut it out. - -Saw where Oklahoma State was in his top 5 - and there had only been 1 Cb prediction before and it was to OSU - -

looked some on others and man right now we at 41st in the Nation BUT Baylor - - -West Virginia - - & Texas Tech really hurting

Baylor ranked 51st - - - West Virginia 71st - - -& Texas Tech 87th -- now I know that can and will change but still they hurting - things will change for us too if we can land one or two of these big boys were after I will be quite satisified

Ya K-suck actually surprised me some - -I think at this point they have the 3rd best recruiting glass in the big 12

Pulled a DE from Louisiana today, pushing us into the top 40. If we can stay there and land one or both of Purdy/Johnson, look out.

I'm not so sure about him being a PWO - I think could be A Scholli - -was curious as to how many we had available - some one said he thought we had between 20-21 to give out.

Getting interesting. - - They saying that a couple of other KU recruits going to be announcing from mid to late June - -actually one announcing tomorrow they said in the VIP will be able to see

This kid from today had some decent offers: Houston - -- Southern Miss - - -K-State ( BAM ) - - -Tennessee - - & West Virginia to name some - had like 15 offers I think they said.

This put us at # 39 in the Nation - lets keep rolling guys - -I'm a thinkin might be kind of an interesting season. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG ABBY

One major thing that Miles is doing is building some depth. That was missing, even from some of the better teams that KU had under Mangino. KU was extremely thin behind the standouts. Miles is building depth to make sure that if one guy goes down, next man up is a guy that is ready to play at the P5 level athletically.

Added our 12th commit - -our 2nd recruit from Missery -- Luke Grimm out of Raymore- Peculiar - working out either as a wide receiver or Safety - I think Safety - - - just a 2 * recruit according to Rivals - BUT I have full confidence with this staff - - started picking up offers I think they said some Ivy league - - it's rolling - -bigger times coming - we can use ALL recruits to build this program.

Louisville wants 2 QB’s this class. Pretty common for new coaches to “reset” the roster with their guys.
