KU has announced their nonconference schedule for 2019-2020 and it's a typical KU nonconference schedule.

Oct. 24 vs. Ft. Hays St. (Exhibition)

Oct. 31 vs. Pitt. St. (Exhibition)

Nov. 5 vs. Duke (Champions Classic, New York)

Nov. 8 vs. UNC-Greensboro

Nov. 15 vs. Monmouth

Nov. 19 vs. East Tenn. St.

Nov. 25-27 (Maui Invitational) (Field is BYU, Chaminade, Dayton, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan St., UCLA, and Virginia Tech)

Dec. 7 vs. Colorado

Dec. 10 vs. UW-Milwaukee

Dec. 14 vs. UMKC (Sprint Center)

Dec. 21 @ Villanova (Big 12/Big East Challenge)

Dec. 29 @ Stanford

Jan. 25 Big 12/SEC Challenge (Likely going to be against Kentucky at AFH)

Heard we are doing a Colorado home and away deal.

Overall the schedule is great, but the home schedule is WEAK.

@Woodrow The marquee home game is more than likely going to be the B12/SEC game which is more than likely going to be Kentucky since that's KU's typical opponent when they don't play UK in the Champions Classic.

Man, good thing we have E. Tennessee, Monmouth, UW-Milwaukee, etc. Would hate to see us waste our time playing a Wichita St. team that would do nothing for us.

@FarmerJayhawk I'd like to hear the true story why the reeves kid left for ou. Had something to do w/gregggggg's daughter. He had a huge turnover of ast.s too. Not a good look. He does some bad stuff on tv, wonder what happens behind the scenes?

I wish we could play Nevada. Then my wife would see what a real basketball team looks like. Haha I hope she doesn’t see this!

Wasn't the last KU game in Boulder only available through buying season tickets to Colorado that season to prevent KU fans from buying up all the tickets? Seems like I remember there not being a very big KU crowd for that game like normal.

This year would be the first year if the home and home and the Colorado game is at AFH. UMKC is the Sprint Center game this year.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I forgot about the SEC challenge. Hopefully they get Kentucky. It’s still a weak home slate. Even the Sprint Center game sucks. It’s usually a decent mid Major.

The WSU/KU debate won't heat up again until WSU has a contending team again. It might kick up again this year if Doke whacks his wrist again...

This is my day to say "again"... meaning... we haven't heard the last of the debate.

I'm still hoping we book Perchtop University from the Canary League off the NW coast of Africa. They've got a 7'9" center who likes to grip the rim with his teeth.

That schedule is pretty dull except for the epic Villanova game and another beatdown of Duke.

@wissox Don't forget it's missing likely UK and possibly Mich ST but that depends on how the Maui tournament goes. There will be 1-2 really good games in Maui for sure.

@dylans Basically the only time we don't play UK in the B12/SEC are the years we play UK in the Champions Classic. The last time KU didn't play UK in a non-Champions Classic year was when we had the home and home with Florida.

@wissox Disagree. We could end up playing all 3 of the other teams in the Champions Classic...Michigan St, Tucky, and Dook. That's going to be pretty damn exciting, in light of the fact that MSU and Dook are ranked preseason 1 and 2.

Yeah, I guess I see the 5 or 6 home games against mid majors and I always wish that it wasn't like that. Sure I'll be up for those games against the bluebloods like everyone else. I never like seeing us wait until Dec. 21 for a true road game either. I also was curious if we had a home and home with Marquette? We had them in AFH last year.

@wissox I wish we had 3 or 4 games against the weakest of the weak so we could get a good look at our newbies...

@wissox Sometimes the return game doesn't happen for 2-3 years.

@wissox KU played Marquette in the NIT last year in New York, not part of a home and home.

@JAYHAWKFAN214 What do you mean? This is pretty silly, imo, if it turns out this way. Tennessee will be only a shell of the team they were last year and we will arguably be much better. Makes zero sense.

Ditto Kentucky playing Tech, who imo is going to fall off precipitously - Beard being a good coach aside.

If that ends up being true and KU doesn't play Kentucky, it would only be the second time KU and Kentucky haven't played in the B12/SEC Challenge in a year when they didn't meet in the Champions Classic.

Is that the last game before Christmas break? We usually have trouble because everyone has their travel plans rather than their game plan on their minds.

Like @Woodrow said, it's just the non-conference slate. The league schedule hasn't been released yet. Our first league game is usually right around the first of the year.

Like @Woodrow said, it's just the non-conference slate. The league schedule hasn't been released yet. Our first league game is usually right around the first of the year.

Hopefully, unlike last season, the conference schedule - though this year it will not matter - won't be so stacked against us that it seems the league wants us (the basketball cashcow of the conference) to lose.

Last season, KU played at Arizona State on December 22, and returned after Christmas to play E. Michigan at home, followed by conference games against O\U on Jan 2, @ ISU on Jan 5, TCU on Jan 9, @ Baylor Jan 12, @ Texas Jan 14, @ WVU Jan 19 and ISU on Jan 21, so we're likely to have several conference games between the Dec 29 Stanford game and the Jan 24 Tennessee game
