@BShark hmmm? I know they wear boots for the slightest tweaks.🙏🙏

Oct 23, 2019 02:27 AM #3

Almost certainly precautionary.

Probably otherwise something would have leaked.

Had to have the dramatic thread title though. As an aside we would be completely screwed without him. From top 5 clear cut best team in the B12 to a very average team.

Yeah, thanks for that. Almost made me spit out my beer!

It's a designer boot. He's fine.

Oct 23, 2019 03:08 AM #7

No crutches and a jar of peanut butter. He’s fine

Oct 23, 2019 03:43 AM #8

Oct 23, 2019 03:45 AM #9

Might be fun to play without him Thursday. Get Moss and Braun more minutes.

Oct 23, 2019 06:16 AM #10

So Moss had a minor injury and now Dotson. I hope the rest of the year won’t be this way - nagging injuries keeping the team from reaching their potential.... 🧐

Oct 23, 2019 10:11 AM #11

Yikes, good thing Duke isn't Thursday.

I'll expect a sloppy outcome if Dotson cannot go. They better bubble wrap this team

Oct 23, 2019 12:48 PM #12

I think I’d sit him Thursday and then hopefully he would be a full go for the last exhibition game. No need to push it with our most important player.

Oct 23, 2019 01:50 PM #13

@Woodrow

Certainly good practice for Garrett for the season. There will be times when Dotson is in foul trouble etc that we'll need to rely on another option. I would not risk Devon on Thursday in an exhibition

Oct 23, 2019 02:01 PM #14

I'm interested to see the next option after Garrett on the ball ... might be Braun.

Oct 23, 2019 02:20 PM #15

This is a chance for HCBS to try out various point guard scenarios. Should be interesting!

Oct 23, 2019 02:50 PM #16

@HighEliteMajor Gurley was on 810 this morning and he mentioned that Braun might get some minutes at PG.

Oct 23, 2019 02:58 PM #17

Braun is going to be a pleasant surprise over the course of his time in Lawrence imo.

Oct 23, 2019 03:28 PM #18

Getting nicked up is part of the game. I think most players believe in jinxes when it comes to injuries. Playing it too safe usually doesn't end up well.

Doesn't mean we don't play it cautious. But playing at this level, almost every player receives a nick every week or two, all season long. Luckily fans don't know this because they would be freaked out.

When you hear about players being used up for the year, believe it. All the bang ups add up by the end of the season. The break before tournament time is usually needed by every player to feel healthy enough again to make a run.

Oct 23, 2019 03:51 PM #19

@Woodrow He's not a D-1 level PG, for sure. Just an adequate extra ball handler from what I've seen. Will be interesting to see how he handles it. There are some guys that with the increased level of play, they too take it up a notch. But D-1 PG is a high, high stress position -- trying to dribble, protect the ball, deliver spot on passes, all while having some quick, freak athlete in your face. It's real. Probably the guy I'm most interested in seeing vs. competition.

Oct 23, 2019 04:54 PM #20

Bill self just said that he will not play Thursday and will miss likely 3 to 4 days

Oct 23, 2019 07:30 PM #21

Bill self do not think he will be

Oct 30, 2019 02:56 PM #33

Have to wonder now how long Moss is going to be out. I don't see how he could play against Duke since he has yet to practice. Hopefully he can get back to 100% quickly.

Oct 30, 2019 03:04 PM #34

@JAYHAWKFAN214 bummer, thx!

Oct 30, 2019 06:10 PM #35

Sounds like Moss is still a long ways out. He has a hamstring issue, those and groin issues seem to take a long time to get worked out. I’m starting to worry with him not practicing, if we will see him before conference play begins.

Oct 30, 2019 06:58 PM #36

Good to see our floor general is back. Bad to hear we have no clue when Moss may finally be able to bombs away from 3...

Oct 30, 2019 11:29 PM #37

@BeddieKU23 Because we need to look at the bright side, I love the opportunities Moss’ absence presents. Braun and Wilson. I also like it when pressure is applied to presumptive starters like Agbaji to produce at a higher rate. Not saying we don’t need Moss, but I do question his relative value. We’ll see.

@kjayhawks Hammies seem to be three types — 10 days. Three weeks. Or six weeks. But all the injuries they sure do seem to be highly susceptible to becoming chronic vs other injuries.

Oct 31, 2019 09:58 AM #38

@HighEliteMajor

No doubt we get another extended look at some of the younger guys.

Big Dave gets the start tonight. Will be interesting to see that combo with Doke and how that meshes

Oct 31, 2019 11:05 AM #39

I don’t feel great about them guarding a 4! We had trouble w/withey too in mizzou game

Nov 02, 2019 10:11 PM #40

Bill s8 just said that moss practice 30 minutes today and if he doesn't practice full speed tomorrow thenTuesday he most likely won't play

30 minutes is pretty good considering
