One man team, but always dangerous against us in Ames.

Could change it to two man team if Prohm figures out that Conditt is a badass. It seems to be trending that way as his minutes are up from the start of the year.

Good news is they can’t shoot a lick. Sitting at a sterling 246th in the country in 3 point FG%. For reference, we’re somehow 46th.

We mostly get open looks and shoot a low volume so those things probably help. Ochai and Moss are both on very good percentages, but tend to be all or nothing. Like you get 0-1 threes from them or 4 out of them in any given game.

Road games are always tough but this is a game you gotta win if you want to win the league.

Marcus will definitely guard Haliburton, I wouldn’t look into their shooting numbers with a lot of confidence. They will probably improve thru out the year and as they always do, shoot lights out on us.

ok guys I'm just plain stupid I reckon. I mean I knew were pretty decent but dam - guys read off the Cyclone report of all places saw that Ku is 2nd Nationally in adjusted Defensive efficiency - -- SECOND.

That my friends is good - - -DAM GOOD , that can carry you along ways. - Kinda makes my mouth drool. - just stop and think if we can just get a little improvement on the offensive end - - look the hell out.

Little improvement on free throws - - little improvement taking better care of the ball. -got to give you hope - - could this be our year ?

Steady on the defensive end, like has been brought up were averaging close to 9 steals a game - - Devon and Marcus on the outside - - Doke as a rim protector -- do a pretty decent job on the boards - - we have really good length.

Just solidify the offensive end at bit - - oh ya. - -2nd in the nation defensively. coach has to love that. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

These guys I am seeing now have a real chance to be right there on the threshold - -I mean sure come tourney time it becomes a crap shoot, but DAM man - how long has it been since we have had a defense like this ?

I mean I have heard others talk, and really talk up this defense, guess I was just kind of slow but Seth Green burg talking up our defense - -and hearing how long we are - gets me excited.

I know that we are # 3 like shooting the 2 just some things we need to clean up just a little - -let's do this. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

How does Smart still have a job? Man, I hope we can make some inroads into Texas before they get a real coach.

Smart is probably gone after this season baring a crazy postseason run. There are several bigs that I wish were here rather than the ugly burnt orange of Texas. Prohm isnt as good as I thought he was coming in. That team has fell off after Fred got them back.
The first 2 years with Freds guys like Monte Morris and Jamil McKay Prohm went 47-23, finished as high as second in the B12 having winning records both years and a sweet 16 appearance making the tournament both years. In the 2 1/3 years since he is 43-35, with a .500 record in conference as his best and missing the tournament in 2018. I don’t think his seat is hot yet but it will be if they can’t make the tournament this season for the second time in three years.

Shaka's saving grace is his contract still has quite a few dollars on it.

Beard's buyout within the B12 is $6M. Idk if Texas will be willing to pay that or not. I'd lean towards not. And that also saves Shaka.

Good point, didn't realize his buyout was that big.

I don't think there is anyway Texas opens there new arena next year with Smart as the HC. They are building a state of the art arena and are going to want to build some hype and Smart is not going to do that. Not too mention they are not very good this year and will likely miss the tournament.

I'm sure the Coaching staff is making sure telling the guys NOT to overlook Iowa State - - do not be looking past them. - -I'm sure that won't happen as we all know , we can't afford that with the problem we have had in Hilton.

We know no matter how much they have been struggling , they will probably come out and play WAY over their heads , just play insane

Been checking out their fan site. - - they aren't giving their boys much of a chance. -Talking about how Doke has just ate them up everytime we play , saying maybe Conduit or whatever his name is might be able to get Doke in trouble

I am kind of surprised KU only a 4.5 favorite, they're surprised only a 4.5 favorite.

Talking about tickets are selling for 10 dollars on stub hub , saying could be a lot of empty seats tonight. I doubt that we will see. Got to stay focused

Iowa St fans are becoming increasingly frustrated with Prohm. I read a lot of comments calling for him to be fired after they lost to Florida A&M. Tonight seems like a I-need-to-keep-my-job-and-win-the-fans-back type of game for Prohm.

But comments like : - -we went on that 21-3 run , poster stated /questioned when we went on the run , he say 21-3 run and Coach doesn't call a time out ? - Response comes back - - he was wanting to save them for when Iowa State went on it's 5-2 run roflmao.

Others said he was saying them for the football season , lol , Another said wanting to know says well was a 30 point blow out until KU allowed the scrums to come in and allow us to keep it under 30 - -then say anyone want beet on a 40point blow out in the Phog lol. - lots of really funny posts
