Not even close. Garrett has always been much better at protecting the basketball than Tyshawn ever was.

@BShark He is an athlete - not yet a basketball player. Not a good ball handler or passer, and not a consistent shooter (form and release are issues). He does have good size and is a plus defender, so if he can improve is shot or handle, he can at last play overseas -- maybe even get a shot at bench minutes in the NBA - but not as a drafted player.

@DanR Garrett is smart. I loved Tyshawn by the end, but he didn't suffer from an overabundance of wisdom most of his time at KU.

Taylor got us to the title game. If Garrett ever gets that far then compare away

horrible free and three point shooting just makes this decent team seem a lot worse than they are... Ochai HAS to dial it up and maybe Moss will heat up and win us a couple games in the tourney like Malik Newman did.

We knew it would be ugly without Dot. Doesn’t matter as long as we win. Maybe it will become helpful so Dot doesn’t have to play 36 minutes every game.

I get frustrated with the guys , then I step back and look. Scoring is JUST DOWN all across the board this year , some really ugly games.- - Louisville beating Maryland 30-25 just ugly. - -Shooting pct is down , like BShark and I said there is NO DOMINANT team this year by far. - -If you ask me who I thought ha the inside track to the Championship this year ? I'd have to tell you I have NO IDEA

@BShark not really, we haven’t had good 3 point defense in years and Dot is our best FT shooter.

Scoring is down however this is a bad offensive team that has little playmaking ability. It's a good thing the defense sticks most nights

We've struggled there! Injuries main thing, poke a doke, last year. I'd hate to play for them, no fans, milk toast coach, hated the way he coached Trae young team.

It’s that clanking 18 footer that Dave shot in the 1st half we can do without, and I’d like to see more kick to the line on drives instead of always forcing shots.

I saw the TT/Garrett comparison. TT would rarely dish on the drive. A major failing. I like Garrett driving but think we have a lot more 3 point opportunities that we don’t create.

Really like Doke finally starting to hit the Free Throws. - like I posted earlier tonight he is 11-16 three big 12 games, and I think it shows and you have to figure a TON of pressure off his shoulders

I wonder what starting him would do for his confidence. I remember when he got the nod in the 2nd half against West Virginia his play was full of confidence.

And if this Dotson injury has the potential to keep him out another game or more (very concerned with the lack of clarity on his situation) then inserting Braun into Dave's spot could be another much needed lift here. We can't get much less production from Dave then we are currently getting. I don't know what the coaches are seeing in continuing this. These seems like Classic Stubborn Bill.

Braun not hitting shots lately. Och😱 ouch! doke doing a lot of things, just need to feed him and watch his passes! Keep boarding. Start moss, no matter what d dot does. Keep giving bench minutes. I don't think Silvio did so bad in limited minutes, I don't remember, saying crap!😉

Since his FT% is low that's probably holding back him climbing. Also low assists, higher then average turnovers & fouls factor in. You will see his conference rating is higher so far.

Average is 15, he's well well above average. Although the model is meant for the NBA, it gives a snapshot at his incredible value to this team and his individual ability in the paint on both ends
