Yeah I feel we have already seen some really strange results.
@BeddieKU23 Should change if Bossi gets input, imagine that he will.

KJ Adams moved up to #45 in ESPN latest update. Should see a bump in his composite off that I think
Clemence holding at #31.
Both are much higher in composite than actual 24/7 rankings. Heard there is some strong anti-KU bias at 247 with the people that had been doing a lot of the rankings work.
He has had one bad game this year shooting in which he still contributed and played a lot. Effort and fighting for wins is not a problem.
@jayballer67 Yeah Antonio Gordon is the big and he sucks lol.
@jayballer67 The good Gordon is the guard, not the big. He was the Chicago player of the year a couple years ago. Decent numbers so far and should get better.

If you're talking about K's comments on why playing basketball during covid feels wrong, I actually agree with him.
But, I get the feeling he only said that because this is probably his worst Duke team since... I don't know when. Didn't he want every D1 team to be in the tournament before the season started?
Say it from the start, not now because the team sucks. I feel another back surgery coming.
There is no bigger phony in sports than coach K.
@BeddieKU23 He probably would have been OAD here. No one keeps 5*s around like K.
@BeddieKU23 Really liked Self sticking with Bryce late. Feel like he earned it, good to let him play through a mistake.
If Dave could just play like the first half all the time... He still had issues but he at least wasn't taking a bunch of fadeaways. He would at least be passable for 20 minutes or so a game.
@BeddieKU23 said in In this thread we Stan Jalen Wilson:
Thanks John Beilein! Thank you for leaving College Basketball
Thanks RJ Hampton as well.
Funny thing is KU could have prioritized Jalen from the start, but the staff was chasing Hurt.

Weber is not a strong recruiter and he has a tendency to alienate some of his best players at times. That was his problem at Illinois. That is his problem now. He can have great years, but cannot sustain that because he will have lulls in recruiting and lose guys to transfer. It's a vicious cycle. He was in a similar position a few years ago before Dean Wade and Barry Brown basically saved his job. He will need something similar next season, but I don't see that type of talent on the roster now (guys likely to break out) or coming in via recruiting.
I think, and a lot of KSU fans I know agree at this point, his better players tend to develop in spite of Bruce. Where we see KU consistently develop some of the same things, the players that develop under Bruce seem kind of random. Wade even had a bit of regression his SR year. I think the list of players he has alienated is larger than the list of guys that ended up being near all league level for him.
Pack and Dajuan Gordon look like players to me. Will they get better under Bruce? Maybe McGuirl comes back for a free fifth year? I think their biggest issue is they have a ton of bigs on the roster and all of them are not very good. I don't see Bruce adding a bunch of immediate impact guys so their line-up next year will likely have holes.
Did not see a 16/9 average through 6 games coming. And his two best games were against stronger teams.
@BeddieKU23 said in Toronto Blue Jays discussion.:
Stronger competition has brought him back down to life. Just needs time in the lab to get comfortable.
Agree his shot is a concern that needs to be addressed. He's Marcus 2.0 as a shooter.
Having Dajuan, Marcus & Dave on the floor at the same time is poor recognition of strengths and weaknesses. No defense is going to respect that lineup.
Yeah, he needs a real offseason for them to retool his shot. Once Marcus is gone it's fine to start him at the PG barring a great late addition.
@stoptheflop Thompson earned Self's trust by playing well down the stretch up to that point. He was playing over Ochai, who is pretty much a turnover machine in those spots. I think Bryce can get better in that regard, Ochai kinda just is what he is at this point.
KU averaged 0.64 ppp with Harris on the floor last night, 1.1 when he was off. He just won't be playable in every game until he can shoot. Or you have to play him when Garrett isn't on the floor.
@approxinfinity There are reasons Harris didn't get as much time tonight. Creighton is well coached (unlike say, Kentucky) and when we had him out there Creighton was rightfully ignoring him on offense. Once he shot that three, it confirmed what they already knew.
Dave's second half was really bad.
Tristan's main issue seems to be a complete lack of aggression.
I am not sure on Tyon's lack of minutes tonight but it was nice to see more good things from Bryce.
KSU fans struggling
@FarmerJayhawk Bro have you seen the KFC thing? lol

Even to get my 6 bucks worth of ESPN+, I refuse to watch this Hays-KSU game... go tigers
This game is so enjoyable though lol
I love #34 for Hays.
Damn, 4th foul on the best player for Hays
Refs might save KSU, we will see.
13!!!
Hays up 10
@jayballer67 It is 35-29 Hays AHEAD of Kstate in Mancrappin at the half.
Fort Hays re-expanded their lead going into half time.
@DCHawker said in Non-KU Games Thread:
And, Cade Cunningham also down to Oral Roberts late in the first half...
Bottom of the league is atrocious.
Cuffe is more likely to end up at KSU than KU.
@FarmerJayhawk said in Non-KU Games Thread:
Ft. Hays! Roll Tiges!
Literally just got on to shit post about this. UNREAL.
yup
Bill on Jalen "terrific, just unbelievable"
@stoptheflop I'm very interested to see the offense after the Christmas break. Bill seems to be trying to figure things out still.
@approxinfinity said in Toronto Blue Jays discussion.:
Thompson looked good until he lost his poise. Really enjoy his foul line pull up. Pretty money.
Yeah he has been flashing why he will be good a few times this year. We could see a really big leap next year.
I think about how well this roster shoots, then you take Garrett off, and add Clemence. Assuming Jalen hangs around college hoops, next year will be very salty. Clemence is an ELITE shooter, that happens to be about 6'10''. We are super fortunate he grew up a KU superfan. Thanks mom!
@BeddieKU23 That's really not as surprising to me, he's gonna be hit/miss all year. Ochai had been playing consistently well.
Won a game against a top 10 opponent where Ochai did nothing offensively. Impressive.
@approxinfinity said in Toronto Blue Jays discussion.:
I'm worried we have 2 more years of McCormack. The kid doesn't get it.
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Toronto Blue Jays discussion.:
How are we 5-1. lol
Schedule and most of cbb is down tbh. Like looking at the games of other teams in the top 10, it's pretty derp.
Bill never fouling up three is so awful
Overtime ugh
Braun miss looms large now
Trash call
10-22 from three, 36% from 2
Imagine Dave passing it back out and a good play happens!
