@dylans I don't think it will be comparable to the last two years but it will be passable. I'm not sure Romeo changes much from a 3pt perspective.
Grimes is 153/382 (40%) his last two seasons. A decent shooter and better than what I could find of Romeo's numbers. Vick if back is a proven 38% three shooter. Moore was 35% at Cal while chucking and should be better with a year off to practice under Self.
Garrett and Dotson will be the biggest issues from three. Probably want to avoid playing them both at the same time.
With KJ/Dedric/Silvio/Mitch in the post rotation, there is a lot of shooting ability there to help spacing.
Doke isn't a great shooter but I'd thrilled to have him back.
@dylans I don't think it will be a big issue.
It took a long time for Self to realize it too. I hope we still shoot a lot of threes next year.
One of Svi's threes was with 5 seconds left on the shot clock, that's livable.
@Kcmatt7 Hope you are right, he doesn't deserve it. Also whenever Self retires I hope he is heavily involved with finding the next hoops coach.
@Kcmatt7 He will be better in that spot I agree. He reminds me of Jamari, with some slight differences. Mainly that I trust Mitch's jump shot more.
I'll be interested to see how the post rotation shakes out next year.
@Barney Yep I mentioned some of this in the other Mitch thread (lol two Mitch threads) but I agree. Silvio and Doke were clear mismatches for Clemson's bigs and Mitch was not. Self seemed content to let Clemson's C take threes if he wanted to.

This is what REALLY REALLY pisses me off. In coach Ks 34 years has he once developed a 3 star player? Has he ever not had the most talent? He has NEVER had a season where he didn't land a McDonald's All American. He is now the biggest one and done guy. In the past 16 seasons Duke has been either a 1 or 2 seed 12 times yet only made it past the sweet sixteen FOUR times. Despite all this talent EVERY year he never gets called out for "choking".
Bill Self has just developed back to back 3/4 star high school guys into first team all Americans. He ROUTINELY does more with less. The fact that he completely maximizes the talent almost always means a tournament "upset" will happen because Kansas earns seed beyond their talent. VIrginia did the same thing this year. Yes the accomplished things to be a 1 seed but at the end of the day their talent(not a single nba guy) isnt really 1 seed quality.
I know most here hate Kentucky the most. I don't have enough hate left for anyone after Duke.

I hate Duke too. Most teams would kill for what KU has even this year though.

Duke is the absolute king of having MCDAA buried on the bench even though, it is ridiculous.

@kjayhawks I had to post that Mitch is better than walk-on material because multiple people claimed he wasn't. I mean he was a top 100-ish recruit for crying out loud. After that I just closed the site.
Mitch gives it his all every time he steps on the court. Played out of position at the 5 all year. Is he perfect? No his game has some weaknesses but you can't ask for more than what he gives and he had some crucial moments and big games for us this season.

Hell of a player for Clemson and a testament to toughing it out and playing all four years. Took a huge leap this year and had a great tournament.
