I was confident Jalen would score but at this level he's exceeded expectations. I definitely feel you regarding this current group still.

As long as he doesn't get Jalen/Ochai volume of shots I'm fine with it... begrudgingly.
I don't have any doubts Self could find 2-3 wings in the portal if needed but Kev would be a solid returnee next year with KJ/Juan in the starting lineup.
We definitely don't have a go-to guy on the roster right now for next season at guard/wing like we've had (if Kev does leave). I know KJ has ascended but he's got no range and projecting him to become a shooter in one off-season is dreamland.
I'm basically saying I'm really concerned about next year's roster and who's going to be the guy that scores points. There just isn't that option staring us in the face right now.
Pretty much all my thoughts as well. Saw 3-4 year player due to lack of size/athleticism but his shot is really good mechanically and smooth and he gets set and executes really well at this young age. From the 3-4 videos I've watched, he knows he's good, has some confidence about him, he can get to his spot or get his shot off with ease. For a Top 25 type guy I was thinking this is Bill's kinda guy to develop

Yeah been thinking the same on him. He hasn't shown the offensive game to make it in the NBA. Returning another year would give him a shot to be a featured player
They are the only 2 teams that can get in the tournament at this point from the Pac-12. Next highest ranked team is USC at 51. Imagine playing that schedule!
Duke is still in as of today and they are probably a safe bet to stay in unless they collapse. The schedule looks favorable for the most part for them. We'd kill for their schedule right now that's for sure.
They will probably all decline to play but the point still stands, it's on the verge of happening.

A peak into Self's genius and reacting on the fly after a bad game. We got a layup on the first possession of the game from Juan and started the 2nd half with Juan getting fouled on a drive. The emphasis was there the entire game. Cool to see executed

If Zach doesn't return, I'd definitely be interested in another 4-type body to pair with Adams. Keeps you 4 deep in the post while differing what you have back already between the 2 young bigs and KJ.
Going to need multiple scoring wings. Ideally one is more defender and the other is more perimeter shooter. I'm sure Self sees Gradey/Jalen/Kev moving on after the season so he'll be out there looking to fill voids.
Bobby can't stay healthy. Either he has the worst luck or it's a real issue
Just take every top level wing with size out there in the portal.
Our 3 healthy bench players are athletic as heck & man it was refreshing to see them come in and make immediate impacts. Each has something or does something that can help this team.

Rice battled for loose balls, drove the ball and gained plenty of contact with no calls. His assist on a Gradey breakaway was awesome. His defense is in the infant stages, but he gave great effort last night after Saturday's debacle. He has the body to take contact like Jalen and finish plays. If his back can stay healthy, I really hope they explore getting him downhill.
Udeh's presence on both ends seemed to really open up the game as Texas had to account for him. Self could scheme him 4-5 dunks a game if he could just not foul LOL.
So much will change in the next week or so, the upcoming schedule for everyone is brutal.
KU has road games against OU/Ok St then a home game on Primetime Saturday vs Baylor. This 3 game stretch could have us rolling on serious momentum. I'll remain hopeful!
