@icthawkfan316 you are exactly right! Perry beats himself up worse then coach could ever do! A great coach or teacher can tell what the kid responds too. Perry wants to please. He needs built up not tore down. My own 2 sons responded totally different to discipline.

@globaljaybird great pts, but don't forget our best 2 defenders last year, were OAD guys. By far the best! Wigs is having a terrific year, and players that don't think you have to play D to make the NBA, the wolves are putting Wigs on the best offensive guy. When Self recruits players, they know, to play for KU, you have to play D and you have to play hard! We may think we were hustling back on D, but when they see film, they will see, that was not hustle.

@JayHawkFanToo Embiid said he gained 50 lbs in 3 months. Crazy? Surprises me to think it would be a challenge to streamline him. I thought he'd have trouble putting some healthy wt on. He'll figure it out, but like one article said, he needs to be a healthy weight to avoid more injuries.
Saw this awhile back. Where are his "handlers" now? He's had a rough time, little brother dying, surgery, let's hope he's figuring it out!! How can we not want him to succeed?

@jayhawk-007 I thought the same thing til I watched post game. What coach was saying was that Cliff wasn't playing hard or hustling-no motor. He didn't make any attempt to breAk down on d or close out or get in any kind of defensive stance. I get it. Lucas, clearly not as talented, was busting himself and playing as hard as he could. Self said in order for Cliff to play good he needs to play w/motor. Tough point to learn!

@brooksmd I heard BG threw a big fit when he was pulled last game. He didn't get off the bench at time outs and was talking crap, coach Howard had to "talk" to him. Couldn't see this on tv. I was surprised that coach gave him a shot tonight. That kid could really help the team, needs an attitude adjustment.
