One kind of nice thing about the expanded league is that it's a bit less likely to play opponents 3 times. There's nothing worse than having to suffer those crybaby cyclones fans a third time in the B12 tournament.

Everyone is locked in at this point in an area 7 miles wide from Lawrence to Topeka. So, imagine your million people in Topeka are told to head to Lawrence to be safe from bombing and a ground invasion. And if you want no part of any of this, you can't even get into Johnson County. That's how f*cked up this is.

There are a lot of good QBs (and Bean is good--elite speed and a cannon), but there are guys that just have that special rare "it" factor, like Daniels. He's just FUN to watch. If Bean plays I root for him the Jayhawks, but if Daniels plays I just seem to enjoy the damn game no matter the outcome (e.g. Arkansas game in the bowl last year). Like watching Embiid while he was here... so special and we were denied seeing his potential as a college player.
And basketball related, I think Timberlake will be the 5th starter...
@StLJhawk There are some Utah state parks that have hardly any visitors and you can hike/hang out with your dog. We hit Dead Horse Point State Park to hike in the Moab are with our pooch in addition to driving through Arches NP. It was incredible and more impressive than Arches, IMO.
Not sure about the area around Zion and Bryce...

Bill likes to figure out a way to utilize those weird combinations of players. With HD's range and KJ's jumping/screening ability it should be fun to watch. I'm guessing KJ will have twice the number of dunks as HD and Harris will be racking up the assists at will

Am I reading that report wrong? The transfer rate literally doubled in 17 years for Mens Basketball from 2004 to 2021, and that doesn't include data from the last two years.

First exhibition game is two weeks from today. I had to look that up, so I guess I'm not quite as excited as usual.
With the Jayhawks, I've never been crazy about transfers (in or out), and this year I'm really dissappointed that Udey and Earnest are gone. Guys who transfer in and stick around for a couple years (like Kev) at least earn their wings, but the one-and-done dudes like Remy... meh.
Also, I think I'm less excited about college sports in general due to the amount of money dictating everything--from the NIL stuff to facilities/academics to conference expansion all purely for financial reasons.
I had to listen to the game on Sirius radio on the OSU radio feed (traveling), and only caught the 4th quarter. So, that was not fun. Although I have to say the OSU homer announcers were not real high on their team, and were pretty fair to KU, and they seemed to think OSU was lucky to get some breaks at the end. More dead air space than I'm used to compared to Hanni/KU broadcast for sure.
I'm joking because the whole point is that KU/Townsend would have had to meet or exceed the bribes to get him to KU that Coach K already offered Zion (alledgedly). Had nothing to do with the penalties regarding Silvio, but this was the phone call the FBI included in the basketball fraud case that the NCAA slobbered about but found nothing because KU was the victim.

@wissox I think $100K in cold hard corrupt cash was the amount Coach T agreed we needed to get to meet Duke's offer in addition to the house and a year's worth of nauseating ESPN hype of Zion (which, ultimately, KU could not guarantee).

I think it's a tad lame that the NCAA literally cleared Silvio to play before he set foot on the court, but honestly.... I don't really care about vacating wins. That season sucked. It was the last season of the conference streak, so it has no reflection on all the teams before, and I guess we'll all have to be satisfied with the 13-season streak.
Coach Beard and Coach Huggins now both share the big 12 title from 2017-18. Do I have that right? Those two pillars of society.
