Check that: apparently the March Madness app has no idea how to know which Sling version you use. Orange gives you local channels, so it is letting me see the CBS game. Must use a national feed.

So, thanks to all, esp @Crinsonorblue22, for the advice to load it!

I left Sling about a month ago, and went to the higher priced Hulu. Now I am constantly having to refresh the live feeds on sporting events, and I'm about to go back to Sling.

@Jethro - thought I’d saw, too, that KU has had 34 years consecutive years of NCAA tourney bids. Never below an 8 seed, meaning they’ve always played a lower seed during this time. Unbelievable! #JayhawkCrazy!

And it should be more than 34 years! Ridiculous NCAA penalty in the Larry Brown kept us out a year, right?

Debatable because that team was 19-12 and not playing well at all down the stretch losing 9 of their last 12. It's very possible that team would've missed the NCAA Tournament regardless of sanctions that season because they very much would've been a bubble team that season.

So, you don't think taking away their incentive to push hard at the end of the year was a factor? I can guarantee we would've made it that year if we hadn't been banned from the tourney that year. That was a really good team.

Well so we play Texas Southern, I got that one right although it doesn't count. - -I predicted Indiana in this next one.

Southern got some length , they normally shoot 67 % from the free throw line. - The one thing they WILL have going for them, they will have a nice amount of fans there as playing this in Forth Worth.

Still if we go out and play solid should be alright - I don't think they wanna really get into a running contest with us, their not very good shooting the 3 . - -pretty deep though 56 points off the bench , and 34 points in the paint. - - Let's do this. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

TSU won't have much fan support because most of their alums live in Houston and don't care about the basketball team. KU will by far have the biggest fan presence in Ft. Worth and that includes having Baylor there as well.

well thats good to know. They just was talking to their Coach and he was saying looking forward for their fans to have a chance to turn out. - -Also kinda wonder IF Baylor fans would support KU or not

I'll be surprised if they have 500 fans at the game. Of course SDST and Creighton will probably cheer them on.

This week is like xmas for me. From the very first time that brackets were available, I have been enthralled at the beauty and magic of this tournament. How lucky I have been to have watched such an amazing program like KU. The last 40+ years have been a joy watching this program, these coaches and these players, as they redefine excellence. Clearly they are the best sports team in America, bar none. Name someone else with the 35 + years of the excellence we've had? Name somebody else who is a better basketball coach than Bill? And to have a team this year that carries the torch proudly, working so hard for so many minutes, hours, days, and months giving everything they have for us. How lucky we are. How blessed we are. Sorry if we doubt you at times. Win or lose...thank you, Jayhawks!

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 15, 2022 01:01 PM

As i step back a bit from the original impression of the brackets, I am pretty glad we ended up with the 4/5 seeds we did. We avoided Houston, Arkansas, Illinois, and UCLA. We face a Hawkeyes team that hasn't been to the S16 since 1999, and/or a Providence team that just got manhandled by 30 in their conference tournament. I still am hoping Auburn gets upset, as I would much rather play Wisky in the E8.

KU has big alumni base in Chicago and we travel well, no concern there. Self with a week to prepare for anyone is extremely dangerous. I would be surprised if we didn't have a late Saturday tip as well for the 2nd round as long as business is taken care of on Thursday as we expect.

I seem to recall plenty of 1 seeds playing late on the first day imo. I'd rather have the game a bit earlier personally since 10pm tip for easterners is rough for having to work on Friday but I guess I'll sleep when I'm dead. As @mayjay has pointed out he's not sure I even do sleep at this point.

Chicago is a bastion of KU alumni. I went to school with a bunch of folks from Chicago at KU, so we'll be well represented. I just don't like having to take on 2 fanbases from the same conference cheering when we're supposed to be the 1 seed. Oh well, we always have a target on our backs, so it's probably much ado about nothing. As for a 1 seed playing the last game of the night, I don't recall it ever happening. They are definitely doing their best to make sure the East Coast doesn't watch us. It also cuts into our prep time for the next game. No biggie, though. We'll sail through to the Final Four, imo.

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 14, 2022 02:29 PM

The Chicago factor will be big, but probably not for us. You take Iowa and Wisconsin plunked into our region, and we're battling two fan bases instead of one. And they're a heck of alot closer to Chicago than we are. So, we play Iowa, and let's say we win- we turn around and play Wisconsin potentially? They're like 3 hours away from Chicago. Ridiculous. I'm also not excited about playing the last game on Thursday night. It appears they want us to lose almost a half day of preparation for the 8/9 matchup. This is unprecedented that a 1 seed has to play this late. Other than those 2 points, I love the bracket we're in, and am looking for us to overcome all NCAA mischief as we march to the Final Four.

UNDERSEEDS- BRACKET FUN • Mar 13, 2022 06:04 PM

Here are today's 8/9 seeds :
8 Murray State Ohio Valley
8 San Diego State Mountain West
8 Seton Hall Big East
8 TCU Big 12
9 North Carolina ACC
9 Creighton Big East
9 Marquette Big East
9 Memphis AAC

Some really good teams in that grouping. Murray St was a 7 seed when we were a 2 seed, now they drop to 8 as we rise to a 1 seed. Shaka again? We owe him one or two, for sure. Memphis is problematic.

Here are today's 4/5 seeds:
4 UCLA Pacific-12
4 Illinois Big Ten
4 Arkansas SEC
4 Providence Big East
5 Houston American
5 Connecticut Big East
5 Iowa Big Ten
5 St. Mary's (CA) WCC

Pick your poison on this one. You have a team from last year's Final Four, B10 champion, metrics darling and soon to be B12 member, Houston, scary UCONN and Iowa teams, and a surging Arkansas team. And some will say that St Mary's is as good as any of them. No easy outs. To make the Elite 8, we'll be playing an elite team, for sure.

Mitch is fine. If he wasn't, they wouldn't have let him climb the ladder and cut the nets. A guy on another board had a tweet from Mitch where he said he was ok.

What a great win. The real champions of the B12 take the victory lap. I told you so about Remy. Sort of. I kind of gave up believing he would do what he just did, and I apologize for doubting him. But I've always thought for us to win anything substantial this year, we would need a guy that can get his own basket when the offense isn't clicking. And we have our guy.
