Yea I mean I thought the D was fine. They contained Murray basically all day. The pass rush had decent pressure most of the game.
It helps that the Cardinals (continuing from last season) are the worst team maybe ever in history on 3rd down. Between Kliff and Kyler that brain trust can't seem to figure out how to convert 3rd and 3.
Thursday will obviously be a bigger test on both sides of the ball.

Funny thing was I thought that the offense could have still even played better... Pat and Mecole were so close to hitting a big one over the top. I think if Juju keeps chewing up yards underneath like he did today that you're going to see MVS and Mecole take the top off of the defense 1-2 times every single game.
I thought oddly enough the run d was good enough yesterday to win some more games.
It is getting things sorted on the back-end. I’m not ready to say it is a talent issue. They’ve just got to get more on the same page and coach those guys up.
Bowl game is probably still a stretch, but damn does it feel like this team just got a huge monkey off their backs.

I have a lot of hope the D can improve throughout the season. We returned basically the entire offense. The D is almost entirely brand new.
@DanR funny thing was I didn’t think they tackled poorly. They were basically never in the right position to even think tackling was the problem lol.

It is “fun” offense. Like watching Oregon under Chip Kelly. Shifts. Crazy formations. Read options reading players all over the place.
If they can keep this style up all season they can recruit to this too. It has been great to watch.
