This team is just so bad when they are bad and so good when they are good. Complete momentum team. Score and force a half court posession. Get a stop. Then run and score. Rinse repeat.
When they can't score, they can't get stops, they can't run. And in the blink of an eye the score is tied or worse
This team doesn't get enough love for having so many local guys starting. You'd think this would be a lot of people's favorite team ever
I'm feeling optimistic tonight.
I’m optimistic that Zach can continue to play good enough D that Self keeps him on the floor for 15 mpg. I’m not sure that there is another player on the roster that could bring a dynamic that he is able to. If he can play the 5 adequately on D, I think he is the fix to the half court offense. For at least 15 minutes of the game… His ability to shoot is going to open up the lane in ways that nobody else on the team can because Zach is literally the best shooter on the team. If he can pull out the 5 man and clear the lane for drivers, or force help for open 3s, it changes the entire dynamic for an already top 3 offense. I also think that this is the counter punch we can use against an athletic big that is keeping us from finishing in the paint. Tonight is the perfect time to test my theory.
Prediction: KU hangs an 80-burger and walks out with a 20+ dub. Zach for 8 points and +15 on the floor. Och gets back in the groove.
All I want - and I'm not asking for much here - is to bring back the Circus font as the home whites. When I am running the athletic department it'll be the first thing I do.

They got smoked by UK. Other than that they've found a way to win at home. Double OT on a refuse to lose shot by Och. Last second refuse to lose Harris shot against ISU. KJ locks down Goldwire to close out OU. Beat the life out of Baylor. Beat the soul out of Mizzou.
Not sure how this season is any different than previous ones.

Dave is really only good in situations where the other team has a big with no ability to score. Which is a lot of teams.
