Calm down, Bryce.
McNeil should be playing for the Nets with his shooting today.
Giving up offensive rebounds to a team that shoots 3-pointers well is not a winning strategy.
12/27 = 44.4%. Sorry, I assumed ESPN's box score was accurate.
@Crimsonorblue22 12/27 = 42.3% == very good
@BShark Well they shoot 32.8% from 3 on the season so that might have been the game plan.
@BShark Okay agreed, but it's also hard to guard the 30-ft, double-pump, bank shot.
We are getting Klay Thompson'd by a 30% 3-point shooter. COOL
Dave needed to Bill Russell that
Dave just grab the ball dude
Charge calls are so so bad this season.
Horrible call. He was in the circle.
Dave is strong but he has horrible hands and body control. So he can't use his strength effectively.
Nets offense is insane. Defense will be the question for them.
Good start. Nice pass from Wilson there.
@BShark I have less respect (already didn't have a lot) for Calipari after posting about Fletcher on social media.
It's very possible we'd be like 3-5 without Jalen so I would go with him for MVP so far, with Ochai right behind him.
Baylor up by 30 on KState at half and KState is shooting 48% from the field. I love today.
Luckily for Kentucky they play in a weak SEC conference, so they'll probably get some wins. They would have a losing record in the B12, B10, maybe ACC this season.
Read a lot of comments from Kentucky fans along the lines of: "We need a new coach."
Kentucky about to move to 1-5. I am very much here for it.
@BShark said in Non-KU Games Thread:
Also we might be good defensively? Like maybe? Gonzaga is just insane on offense.
Gonzaga missed 10 free-throws and had 18 turnovers and still scored 100. Ridiculous offensive team.
I always want Kentucky to lose and I like Roy so, yes.
Refs really favored Iowa to keep the game closer in the 2nd half. Gonzaga honestly should have won by 20ish.
Yes. Also, Louisville is pretty bad.
So turns out Gonzaga's pretty good.
@BShark He's like the MacGyver of college basketball.
How the expletive is this team 7-1 btw
Also, if Shannon doesn't make shots against anyone else but us this season I will be mad.
Mac McClung wishes he were as efficient as Ochai. And so does Beard.
Phew
Adversity is good for this team. Looks bad, but these are the games that will make us better.
One of the nice things about this match-up tonight is that Tech is pretty small, so we can play small too. It will be a different story when we play Texas.
Texas Tech does a good job of denying the pass, and then getting the benefit of questionable charges with weak side help when they get beat off the dribble. Most of KU's open looks have come from skip passes. Agbaji and Braun need to be in that corner where Marcus was.
You can't blame one Bill for what another Bill says. Law of Bills
I like putting Harris on McClung. He's a little quicker fighting over the "screens" and can stay in front a little better.
Small lineup might be better against Tech anyway. The pass wasn't there tbh.
Tech hasn't set a legal screen yet btw. I guess they aren't calling that tonight.
25% crowd
Mac McClung throws his head back and yelps whenever there's any contact. Pretty sure I don't like him.
I feel pretty good about tonight. I think Marcus will have a big game.
Is he (Cuffe Jr.) a good ball-handler? He didn't help much to break pressure in that video and his handle looked a little shaky. Obviously ultra-athletic and a good defender, but his skillset almost seems more like a wing than a guard.
As bad as Kentucky is right now, they would be a lot worse without Olivier Sarr. They're fortunate he was cleared to play this season.
Garza has been in foul trouble and on the bench most of the game. Iowa is up by 13. So... ya
That's an improvement from losing to an 0-3 D2 team. KState on the rise!
13-point spread remains a mystery. Iowa St sucks.
@BShark Everyone's mad at Dave for missing that dunk now.
@DanR Arkansas is pretty much Southern Missouri.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Hopefully he'll have the call when we play Tennessee.
I mean Harris doesn't really belong in this group tbh
