@benshawks08. The 4 houses down a half block from me on the LAKEFRONT across from Pace Bend Park had power for the whole time. I can't understand that. They sacrificed us over others!!

@benshawks08 5 days without power and water. I am on a well and did lots of winterizing the well house so we were fortunate not to have to boil water. Said a 🙏 before turning on faucet for the first time though. I was so worried for my pipes!! So far so good!
For first time in over a decade I won't get to go to #Texas game 😰
@Crimsonorblue22 we were like bears hibernating. Slept for 20 hours a day. Wore all of Mike's arctic hunting gear, 2 hats, 2 pairs of gloves, 4 shirts, and a big double insulated cammo jacket and insulated pants just to stay warm in bed.

I am alive! No power for 5 days. Transformer blew out Thursday night after getting power on for 1-1/2 hours. Finally the electric coop showed up at 10AM Friday and put in a new transformer. We built our house in 1984 and live 45 miles west of Austin. Lucked out w/water well and pipes and water back on. It was 41 in my house from 4PM Sunday to yesterday.
LET'S GO #JAYHAWKS. I MISSED KSUCKS GAME!!!
Stay warm and safe. Hung my new #Jayhawk flag on Monday after taking down my #Chiefs flag. Glad I haven't given up on the team. Don't think I can get in the game here in Austin. Not sure I would even want to.
