I think we have a nice pipeline of offensive players. We looked good offensively without Pulisic in that game he went out. Granted it wasn’t a good opponent but we looked balanced. These kids are ready to step up when the offensive leaders aren’t present.

@focojayhawk IMO the biggest problems we have are on The defensive third. Brooks and Ream are too old and slow. Dest hasn’t played up to his potential recently. The robinsons have been good, I think. McKenzie has had problems. Zimmerman and Cannon I think have been decent.

I think I’m just complaining. Don’t mind me. There are only a few subjects that interest me at the moment. Space exploration, Chelsea, USMNT and soccer strategy.

I used to care about whether people were virtuous. Then we lived through Donald Trump and are slogging through COVID. Clearly, there are a good number of people who lack basic virtues. Don’t need to look to Florida for a beacon of crazy!

I mean it’s fine to talk about it, I just don’t see any point in deriving whether he’s a good or bad person. At the end of the day, what does that matter unless you’re a Jacksonville Jaguar fan? I assume those exist.

I won’t attempt to justify this guy’s vices, but I don’t see this as being the news that people should care about. Seems like a distraction from real problems. If you want to go after bad behavior that actually is f***ing everyone else on this planet and not just this girl at a bar, there are plenty of people doing just that. It’s not like this guy is the president of the United States. He’s a head coach of America’s greatest gladiatorial sport. It’s ok to bash each other’s brains in, but not engage in extra marital affairs? Seriously, I don’t care at all whether Urban Meyers off the clock activities are virtuous.

Also JCL was 43% or something from 3 last year at ISU with volume. Glad to hear he’s ready to do that again. Huge.

The kid is smart (Harris) and has the “it” factor. Tough and steps up to challenges. I’m not surprised. Glad to hear he’s taken a leap forward.

The last few years have destroyed what little social consciousness this country had. We have entered an era of insular hyper individualism, feeling disconnected from the whole.

Maybe it was all a grand facade that has been shattered, that our common man was never so noble as we hoped him to be. Maybe this is a capitalist end game where giant monopolies greedily gobble up everything while we turn inward and ignore the changing economic landscape. Maybe what will seem like an eternity will just be half a lifetime and we will find what unites us again.

I expect college basketball to haunt me with echoes of yesteryears, and I hope that I can find beauty contained in the 94 by 50 that cannot be defiled still.

I haven’t pulled the stats to see how many unique visitors we have. I’m sure its down a little, but we will see come bball season. We may want to try to pull some new voices in. I haven’t had much success in my limited attempts. We’ve lost a few of our more outspoken members. Are numbers down on other sports chat boards too?
