@drgnslayr I get it man. Its just I don't want our guys to be like LeBron who is a flopper and not just a seller of calls. He grates on me. I agree, Landen absorbs the hit and doesn't get the call . @JayHawkFanToo might be right, not sure Landen is learning how to sell it any time as a Jayhawk.

I forget who said it last time we talked about this but I like the idea of pulling the chair for Landen, when people start back to basket slamming into him.

@drgnslayr please don't suggest we do anything because LeBron does it. I remember watching the Indiana playoff series and hating LeBron for all those BS flops. Still makes me livid. @brooksmd Yup, that was a nice play too. Once we started getting out in transition in the UC game, Svi relaxed completely, and has been confident ever since. I think getting out and running gets him out of his head and making the play in transition just comes naturally. He's had some games where his shot was off and he seemed to obsess over it, becoming one dimensional. There was another play where he followed up a missed 3 the next possession by driving the ball and scoring. I'm glad he scored it because I think he was trying to find a way to contribute after the missed 3, and the drive looked a little forced. But this transition stuff is completely instinctual/natural.

@drgnslayr Yeah, it does seem like this maybe doesn't matter because teams often drive it early in each half for the reason you mentioned. What I'm saying is not accounting for what the defense is doing, and other confounding factors as well, so is a little overly simplistic.

But since you get a limited number of possessions, why not get to the bonus first with drives before taking any of your threes. Then, you ideally get 2 FT for each of those early possessions fouled in the act, and the later possessions you get FTs if they foul on the floor, and you can optionally chuck threes if the situation demands it.

It seems if you're a good FT shooting team, this might be the way to go.

Might this be part of Bill's historical thinking that went out the window this year? A. Because his team wants freedom to shoot open 3s whenever without limitations, and B. because this team wasn't shooting FTs well?

Nevermind. The more I read this, the more I think what I'm trying to say is all summed up in "be aggressive".
