This seems to be more than nut-picking and indicative of a party wide problem. I’m still confident things will go as they should in January but to say this isn’t doing damage to what could be done after Jan 21 I think would be naive. Talk about undermining the legitimacy of a president...

@drgnslayr How'd you like the x-axis hawks beating the y-axis wildcats last night? Jalen seems and Harris seem to be excellent x-axis players and were really our only options to move the ball and score against a taller, higher jumping team.
I agree with some others that I think Harris's best role right now is going to be off the bench as a spark/change of pace. Self likes to win the tip and at least try to establish the inside to start the game so I will be SHOCKED if Dave comes out of the starting line up for the shortest guy on the team.
@Kcmatt7 I think there is pretty solid logic that if we are trying to get as many people as possible in this country to wear masks and listen to scientists and health officials, putting the highest paid state employees (in most cases) on national television in masks is a solid idea. Having those employees not only wear the masks but model HOW to wear them properly as well as show that it is possible to coach a high level basketball program while wearing a mask could go a long way to normalizing their use.
@Kcmatt7 We saw like two double teams and zero zone today. There wasn’t much of a defensive game plan. In crunch time there will be. It will be about how good this team can learn the systems rather than talent this year.
@jayballer67 Definitely agree. We can fix the transition d. Will need to get more creative with the half court defense but Self never shows too much in early games against top tier teams. I think he sees them as games to see what the guys are made of. The boys are gonna need some coaching this year to lean on. Don’t have the talent to roll the ball out there and just play with the best teams. It’s why it’s nice to have a hall of fame coach on the sideline. We WILL improve.
@BeddieKU23 We will lose more than three games this year. Still think we have a chance to win the last one, though.
Our coach is better at wearing a mask so I think that makes us the real winners.

@Texas-Hawk-10 True that. I know it’s not ideal but if you are wearing a mask, do your best to keep it up and not touch it over and over again. Especially if you are on national television.

@Texas-Hawk-10 in a mostly quiet gym pretty sure they can be heard. They may not FEEL like they are being heard.
Just a note: mask don’t work if you pull them down every time you yell and spray your spit everywhere.
