Help viewing pay per view Border War • Oct 22, 2017 06:26 PM

Sorry for the lame post, I’ve signed up and purchased the game, and can watch on iPad or computer,,,but how do I watch on TV? We have “smart” TV and amazon fire...I guess the user isn’t so smart. Some technical advice would be appreciated.

Jaybate This Is Your Day • Sep 28, 2017 03:33 PM

I just saw on ESPN that Nike's EYBL division has just been served a subpoena related to this.

Kentucky has World Wide Wes. I think I there's a 30 for 30 coming on that topic.

DID WE LOSE DEVONTE TO THE NBA THIS WEEK? • Mar 24, 2017 04:11 PM

There was a quote from Josh last night along the lines of Devonte having the ability to be NPOY next year and Kansas keeping the honor for two years. I've been jazzed all AM thinking D'tae has told his KU family he's staying. I hope he's staying, but like Crimsonandblue want the best for him!

Miracle In The Fieldhouse • Feb 14, 2017 03:41 PM

Only the dog and I were left watching; was thinking how beautiful our ginormous center court Jayhawk is and then....and then....and then....it's good to be a Jayhawk.

With All the Bad News, Some Good.... • Jan 31, 2017 02:30 AM

I just listened, thanks for letting us know!

Speaking of Marshall being a jerk, he is now saying that KU continued to try to get VanVleet even after he committed to WSU. It's all over Twitter.

Go Huggy and Lon! • Mar 23, 2015 08:41 PM

@RockChalkinTexas Doug Gottlieb quickly jumped on Twitter and said Eddie Sutton also took 4 different college teams to the Sweet 16. Glad to have Lon and Huggy in our conference.

Big 12 Title = Fool's Gold?

Coach Self and his staff are paid to get effort, intensity, energy out of our guys in March. If this early upset was a one-off or if we fought hard but didn't get it done (see 2012 title game) -- okay, but instead the half-hearted early exit has become our "new normal". Are the Big 12 Titles our real "fool's gold"?

My 13 yo daughter woke me up in the middle of the night last night saying she'd had a nightmare. I sat on the edge of her bad and said, "no, honey, it wasn't a nightmare, we really DID roll over for Wichita State." She kept trying to interrupt me to say that wasn't her nightmare but I was quicker, "no, no, honey, I know it seems unbelievable that most of our best players disappeared yesterday, but it really did happen." And, "Frank ran at the Beast, but he was too worn down from carrying the load all season - Bill just ran him into the ground." Then, "I know you're really scared, and I am too, but soon enough we'll be sad that summer is over and it will be October and it will all start again."

I never did find out what that nightmare was, but I had her giggling by the time I left her room. As for me, I'm likely still too upset by what I didn't see yesterday, but my 10+ year crush on HCBS is over.

Thanks to all for a great site...I've learned immensely from all of you. Will be interesting to see where Gregg Marshall lands. Twitter is alight with Alabama rumors.

Goodbye Tharpe? • May 01, 2014 06:18 PM

@Kip_McSmithers Not to be over skeptical but we were also told Zach Peters was leaving due to medical issues, not that he and KY had a physical confrontation and the team chemistry was off.

Goodbye Tharpe? • May 01, 2014 06:01 PM

@HighEliteMajor I agree that it's sad, but maybe not horribly sad. I can't pretend to know the pressures these kids are under, and they are kids, but NT's personal choice with the selfie leaves a lot to be desired in off the court behavior. I'm not clever enough to even imagine what wordplay opponent fans might have used in their signs next season while playing us. I too am sad for him, but this feels like a consequence to poor behavior. This may be naĂŻve on my part - if he was a stud PG and defender, would this be in the realm of consequences?

UCONN WINS • Apr 08, 2014 03:26 AM

Now we wait to see a last glimpse of 22 in One Shining Moment.

Interesting question. Close friend is a Kentucky fan and he doesn't filter his comments to me (though I often wish he would), and he thinks Self has a NCAA choke problem - although he openly acknowledges he'd trade Cal for Self any day. He thinks that we get help from the refs (in general) and thinks it's a huge advantage that the Big 12 championships are almost always in KC. I choose not to argue with him much...but his views align with most of the Mizzou fans I know. I don't know if this is a coincidence or if he's lived in MO too long. I do remind him that Rupp was. Jayhawk. Friends/acquaintances I know who are Syracuse, Duke, UNC fans seem to regard us with respect. I do get comments like "oh, Kansas, they always bust my bracket"... End of the day, I know how fortunate I am to be a KU alum and fan. Rock chalk.

Nov 13: KU vs Duke Roundup • Nov 14, 2013 08:39 PM

FWIW, probably less than a dime, but my friend (big Kentucky fan) was at the game Tuesday night, saw Okafor and said there were Kansas people around him, and it looked like he was hanging with them. My friend caught his eye and said "good luck next year" and Okafor said, "thank you sir". Sounds like he's a good kid, or polite in any event.

I think they are headed to Duke, but I also thought Wiggins was headed to FSU...

KU Sports -- Stories on KU vs Fort Hays State. • Nov 06, 2013 07:02 PM

I was at the game last night, did see Wiggins standing around some, but when he did move -- it looks like he's floating. A treat to see in person.

Brannen Green looked great in the first half. Was really excited to see him playing well. Andrew White III looked great, but wasn't surprised given CS's comments. Embiid is going to be amazing when it all clicks. He moves well is an understatement, for sure. Was thrilled that Jamari played so well. I follow him on twitter (funny and prolific tweeter (sp?)) and can't help but root for him to succeed,

Very nervous for the Duke game next week. Seems like a lot needs to come together in a quick amount of time, but know part of that is the nature of an exhibition game with lots of substitutions.

Rock Chalk!

Who are you? • Oct 25, 2013 07:03 PM

Loooongtime creeper on kusports, so glad to have this new outlet. Was going through KU hoops withdrawal and the games have not started. All of you witty and knowledgeable posters help shorten the dog days of summer when bball is only an anticipation. Saw "Jaybate" registered as a user here. Hope it's the real thing. We'll know as soon as he posts.

KU BBall Sucks! (FIRE DRILL) • Oct 25, 2013 06:46 PM

I agree with JayDoc, and in general I like it when the Board completely ignores trolls, as if they never posted. They just come here looking for a reaction, presumably they will eventually go away if there is no reaction.
