We are as deserving as Baylor, Auburn or Kentucky. Hard to find anyone more deserving aside from Gonzaga and Arizona. All will come down to the conference tournament winners.

Self hasn't made it past the first weekend as worse than a 1-seed since 2012, so really wouldn't mind being a 1-seed at all. Win in KC and we probably will land the third overall 1 seed, ending up in Chicago for the regional. Just want to avoid the East and potentially playing Nova at home.

For those season ticket holders, has anyone received their parking passes in the mail yet? Tickets are electronic this year but parking still paper.

@mayjay If Kansas didn’t know of ineligibility issues during the season, it won’t have to vacate any wins.

@BShark The big 12 historically “struggles” in the tournament because they tend to have a bunch of teams with bad seeds (5 thru 10 seeds) who are expected to win, at most a single game. The only team who typically has a realistic expectation of a Final Four is Kansas.

@BShark Kansas was by far the better team that entire year though. Future NBA success isn’t necessarily indicative of how good a team/player was during any given year in college. Look at 2008 UCLA with Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook. Those two would crush anyone on the 2008 Kansas team but so it goes. College is diffenent.

Bracketology thread for the next few weeks. • Feb 19, 2018 12:26 AM

The NCAA selection committee had Kansas as a 2 seed (#6 overall) as of one week ago. Given that three teams ahead of us lost this week and we had solid wins, it’s not unreasonable to say we are on the 1 line. MSU was a 3 in the selection committee’s preview. Barely beating a bad Northwestern team doesn’t vault them to a 1 seed.
