@FarmerJayhawk anything is better than Kevin’s hero ball so far in conference season. Hunter actually shoots better than 55% from the floor with his ill advised 3s.
Hunter remembered he can dunk, it’s a good day folks
@Texas-Hawk-10 either way taking 18 shots to get 19 points isn’t efficient. His averages for shooting are garbage in conference
@Texas-Hawk-10 all conference season he has had to shoot it 25 plus time to get to 19 points. Thats not efficient
Flop city there
We have looked much better honestly since Kevin and his hero ball went out.
@Texas-Hawk-10 both have been dropping and after tonight’s game from Kevin, he’ll sink lower. If you can make free throws and wide open shots. The nba ain’t gonna want to deal with you.
We just made free throws, we may actually know how to play basketball, who knew?
Fran actually hasn’t been too bad today as shocking as that is.
Johnny> Kevin
Gonna be a free throw contest here now
Hunter currently leading the team is points, rebounds, assists and blocks. Not bad for a guy that sucks.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Furphy definitely fouled him, that’s a freshman play if I ever saw one.
Kevin made a wide open 3, lord I’m ready for you to take me now 🤣
Kevin smh why, why
Should Kevin stop shooting or maybe we get lucky and he hits one. Promise you he ain’t getting drafted first round
If we start making some shoots we are in good shape, like the defensive intensity thus far
Jesus Christ Kevin couldn’t hit the water on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean right now.
Amazing what effort can do
Nice FTs guys
@patoh3 where do you guys see the +/-
@dylans ya I talked to a head high school coach this morning, also a KU grad. He goes up to Selfs coaching clinic and gets to watch some of KUs drills. He told me Juan is the slowest and least athletic player he has seen since he’s been going (over 15 years). Doesn’t mean he can’t be effective just very little room for error.
@DanR 🤣 that gave me a good laugh buddy thanks
@DanR I’d love to be enlightened how a guy with more output than 3 other starters combined (KJ, Juan and Kevin) is the issue here today.
I just get frustrated at the lack of basketball not only knowledge but common sense on here at times. Hunter does get trigger happy at times but finished this half with 10 points and 8 rebounds while shooting over 50%. Juan missed 3 wide open 3s and a layup. Kevin missed multiple wide open 3s and 2 layups. Both guys shooting below 30% from the floor as they have much of conference season. Then we get the Hunter sucks he’s why we are losing. It absolutely asinine and laughable.
We are prefect fine here guys
Hunt have 7 points and 6 rebounds, he would be fine if we had shooter round him. Teams pack the paint and make him score over 2-3 every time because we have no consistent threat from deep.
Say what you want of Juan but he ain’t starting on any other team in the top half of this conference
Crazy we don’t have any players that can hit a 3 consistently. Every other team in CBB does, sure glad Kevin is back. Brick, brick, brick and get taken on the dribble
Kevin has been 2023 Kevin on the road
That wasn’t close to a 3 there, they better look at that
Finally we get a call
Smh on the fouls
You can almost count on Juan missing multiple layups a game at this point
Well that wasn’t good
A decent start here
@stoptheflop for everyone but Houston
TCU hits a late 3 to down KSUCK in Methattan, probably making the B12 tournament a must win for an NCAA tournament birth.
@jayballer67 KU lost their chance to win this conference blowing leads at UCF and KSU. I think we can get back on track today but we ain’t winning this conference. Need way too much help.
This is the penalty for success unfortunately. It’s hard to keep a staff together with the job this group has collectively done.
No reason to expand the tournament 68 teams is plenty. Don’t believe a see higher than 8 has ever won it or a team without a at large bid. If you are on the bubble chances of you going home first game is high.
@BeddieKU23 I do agree with that assessment for sure but our guys don’t lead the conference in minutes, I believe Juan is our most played guy and he sets 5th in mpg in the B12. That being said it was one of the worst coaching decisions to leave Juan in last light after the stretched it to 18 with about 12 minutes to go. Put the younger guys and tell them just go play.
I’ll say I’m never a fan of where they place us scheduling wise in football or basketball most the time. I remember in football we had 3 years in a row where KSU got a bye week before us and basketball they always put the KSU game between two huge games like they did this season usually with a short turnaround. But I also don’t like the excuses we keep inventing for this group. It’s this way pretty much every year for us and most the time we succeed with it. I really started to question our conditioning and why we seem to be so tired compared to other teams. It’s an embarrassment at this point. Everyone has players dinged up this time of year.
@RockkChalkk if I’m not mistaken we are short 3 scholarships this season with the investigation and it is showing up big time.
I’ll say a prayer before bed that these guys don’t miss the plane home.
Well as much fun as this was good night friends, I wish I could say I thought things would look better Saturday but it’s another road game.
@kuballin10 Tough unfortunately isn’t a word used to describe teams that can’t win on the road. We have several close calls at home one of which to East Illinois or some crap school like that.
Why are the starters still in? Stupid
Chiefs won the Super Bowl last night at least lol
In my defense even Self is done with this jackass festival
